1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your MMD KM40 Mechanical Keyboard. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

3. Configuració i connexió

The MMD KM40 keyboard supports three connection modes: Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4G Wireless, and Wired (Type-C).

3.1 Connexió per cable

  1. Connect the provided Type-A to Type-C data cable to the keyboard's Type-C port.

3.2 Connexió sense fil 2.4G

  1. Locate the 2.4G USB receiver (usually stored in a compartment on the keyboard or packaging).

  3. Switch the keyboard to 2.4G wireless mode (refer to the keyboard's physical switch or key combination for mode selection).

3.3 Bluetooth Connection (3-channel)

  1. Switch the keyboard to Bluetooth mode (refer to the keyboard's physical switch or key combination for mode selection).
  2. A l'ordinador o dispositiu, obriu la configuració de Bluetooth.
  3. Select one of the three available Bluetooth channels (e.g., Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3, depending on the keyboard's specific key combinations). The keyboard's indicator light will typically flash to indicate pairing mode.
  4. Cerca new Bluetooth devices and select "MMD KM40" (or similar) from the list.
  5. Seguiu les indicacions de la pantalla per completar el procés de vinculació.
  6. To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, use the corresponding channel key combination (e.g., Fn + 1).

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1 Personalització de QMK/VIA

The MMD KM40 keyboard is fully customizable with QMK/VIA firmware. This allows for advanced key remapping, macro creation, and layer management.

  • Claus: 44 keys are customizable.
  • Capes: The keyboard supports 10 programmable layers.
  • Key Values: Up to 430 practical key values are available for customization.

To utilize QMK/VIA, download the appropriate software from the official QMK/VIA website and follow their instructions for flashing firmware and configuring keymaps. The keyboard's driver solution is QMK/VIA.

4.2 Efectes d'il·luminació

The MMD KM40 features 22 distinct lighting effects and 16.8 million RGB colorful lights. Use the designated key combinations (refer to the quick start guide or QMK/VIA software) to cycle through effects, adjust brightness, and change colors.

4.3 Commutadors intercanviables en calent

The keyboard features a full key hot-swap design, allowing you to easily change switches without soldering. This enables customization of typing feel and sound.

5. Manteniment

5.1 Neteja general

  • Desconnecteu el teclat de l'ordinador abans de netejar-lo.
  • Utilitzeu un drap suau i sense pelusa dampesbandida amb una petita quantitat d'aigua o alcohol isopropílic per netejar les tecles i casing.
  • Per a la pols i les restes entre les tecles, feu servir aire comprimit.
  • Eviteu ruixar líquids directament sobre el teclat.

5.2 Extracció de la tapa de les tecles i l'interruptor

The MMD KM40 uses PBT plastic keycaps with dye-sublimation printing, known for durability. The switches are hot-swappable.

  • To remove keycaps, use a keycap puller. Gently pull upwards on the keycap until it detaches.
  • To remove switches, use a switch puller. Insert the puller's prongs into the clips on the top and bottom of the switch, then gently rock and pull the switch upwards.
  • When reinserting switches, ensure the pins are aligned correctly with the PCB sockets to avoid bending.

6. Solució De Problemes

  • El teclat no respon (amb cable): Assegureu-vos que el cable tipus C estigui connectat correctament tant al teclat com a l'ordinador. Proveu un altre port o cable USB.
  • Keyboard not responding (2.4G Wireless): Ensure the 2.4G receiver is plugged in and the keyboard is in 2.4G mode. Try re-pairing the keyboard with the receiver if necessary (refer to specific pairing instructions if available).
  • El teclat no respon (Bluetooth): Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard is in Bluetooth mode. Try re-pairing the device or switching to a different Bluetooth channel. Ensure the keyboard battery is charged.
  • Claus que no es registren: Check if the hot-swappable switch is properly seated. If not, remove the keycap and switch, then reinsert the switch carefully.
  • Problemes d'il·luminació: Ensure the keyboard is powered on. Cycle through lighting effects to see if it resolves the issue. Check QMK/VIA software for lighting configuration.
  • Connectivitat intermitent: For wireless modes, ensure there are no major obstructions or sources of interference (e.g., other wireless devices, large metal objects) between the keyboard and the receiver/device.

8. Consells d'usuari

  • Experimenta amb interruptors: Since the keyboard is hot-swappable, consider trying different switch types to find your preferred typing feel for various tasks like gaming or typing.
  • Leverage QMK/VIA Layers: Utilize the 10 programmable layers in QMK/VIA to create dedicated layouts for different applications (e.g., a gaming layer, a programming layer, a multimedia control layer).
  • Gestió de la bateria: To maximize battery life, switch to wired mode when at your desk or when the battery is low. The 2000mAh battery provides ample wireless usage, but regular charging is recommended.
  • Custom Keycaps: The PBT dye-sublimation keycaps are durable, but you can further personalize your keyboard with custom keycap sets compatible with MX-style switches.
