1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SOYO X99 Gaming Motherboard Kit. Please read this manual thoroughly before proceeding with installation to ensure proper setup and optimal performance of your system.

2. Contingut del paquet

The SOYO X99 Gaming Motherboard Kit may come in different configurations. Please verify your package contents against the list below:

• Motherboard Only: 1 x SOYO SY-X99 C612 Motherboard
• Motherboard + CPU: 1 x SOYO SY-X99 C612 Motherboard, 1 x Intel Xeon E5-2682 V4 CPU
• Motherboard + CPU + RAM: 1 x SOYO SY-X99 C612 Motherboard, 1 x Intel Xeon E5-2682 V4 CPU, 1 x 8GB DDR4 RAM

Note: In kits that include CPU and RAM, these components are used (not new) but are fully tested to ensure perfect functionality. The motherboard is brand new. If you prefer all new components, please consider purchasing them separately.

3. Especificacions

3.1 Motherboard (SOYO SY-X99 BSF(BR) C612)

CPU 3.2 (Intel Xeon E5-2682 V4)

4. Configuració i instal·lació

Before starting, ensure you have a clean, static-free workspace. It is recommended to wear an anti-static wrist strap to prevent damage to sensitive electronic components.

4.1 Disseny de la placa base

Refer to Figure 5 for the location of various components and connectors on the motherboard.

4.2 Instal·lació de la CPU

1. Carefully open the CPU socket retention mechanism (LGA2011-3).
2. Alineeu la CPU Intel Xeon E5-2682 V4 amb el sòcol, assegurant-vos que el triangle daurat de la CPU coincideixi amb el triangle del sòcol.
3. Col·loca suaument la CPU al sòcol sense forçar-la.

4.3 Instal·lació de la memòria RAM

Important: All RAM modules must be installed in slot #1 and slot #2 (black slots) first for proper dual-channel operation. The red RAM slots (#3/#4) will not function independently. Ensure memory modules are inserted into slots of the same color for optimal performance.

4. If installing multiple modules, follow the dual-channel configuration (e.g., 1st module in black slot 1, 2nd module in black slot 2).

4.4.1 Instal·lació SSD M.2

1. Locate the M.2 slots on the motherboard (refer to Figure 5).
2. Remove the M.2 screw and standoff.

4. Gently push down the SSD and secure it with the screw.
5. Note: The upper M.2 slot supports both NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA3.0 M.2 SSDs. The lower M.2 slot supports NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs only.

1. Connect one end of a SATA data cable to a SATA3.0 port on the motherboard.

4.5 Connexions d'alimentació

2. Connect the 8-pin EPS (CPU) power connector from your power supply to the corresponding port near the CPU socket.

Connect the front panel headers (Power LED, HDD LED, Power Switch, Reset Switch) to the FPANEL header on the motherboard. Refer to Figure 5 for the pinout diagram.

Connect USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 headers from your case to the internal USB headers on the motherboard.

4.7 TPM Module Connection

If you are using a TPM2.0 module, connect it to the 14-PIN TPM header on the motherboard. This header is compatible with MSI 14PIN/TPM2.0 modules.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Primer arrencada

1. After all components are installed and connected, ensure your monitor, keyboard, and mouse are connected to the rear I/O ports (Figure 8).
2. Connect the power cable to your power supply and turn on the power switch on the PSU.

After installing your operating system, install the necessary drivers for the chipset, LAN, audio, and any other integrated components. These drivers are typically provided on a CD/DVD with the motherboard or can be downloaded from the SOYO official weblloc.

6. Manteniment

• Eliminació de pols: Periodically clean dust from the motherboard, CPU cooler, and case fans using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
• Actualitzacions de la BIOS: Comproveu el del fabricant website for BIOS/UEFI updates. Update only if necessary and follow the instructions carefully to avoid system damage.
• Gestió de cables: Assegureu-vos que els cables interns estiguin ben encaminats per millorar el flux d'aire i evitar interferències.
• Comprovació de components: Occasionally check all connections (power, data, expansion cards) to ensure they are secure.

7. Solució De Problemes

• Sense alimentació/Sense arrencada:

• Sense pantalla:
  • Ensure the monitor is connected to the graphics card (if installed) or integrated graphics port and is powered on.
  • Reseat the graphics card and RAM modules firmly.
  • Try booting with only one RAM module installed in the primary black slot to rule out faulty memory.

  • Check CPU and GPU temperatures. Overheating can cause instability. Ensure adequate cooling.
  • Ensure RAM modules are correctly seated and compatible with the motherboard and CPU.

• Incompatibilitat de components:
  • Some niche brands or Engineering Sample (ES)/Qualification Sample (QS) versions of CPU, RAM, or M.2 SSDs may be incompatible. Always confirm compatibility with SOYO customer service before purchasing additional components. Incompatibility due to unconfirmed components may not be eligible for refunds.
• RAM Slot Issues:
  • If red RAM slots (#3/#4) are not working, ensure that RAM modules are first installed in the black slots (#1/#2). The red slots do not work alone.
