3. Informació de seguretat

  • Assegureu-vos que l'alimentació estigui desconnectada abans de la instal·lació o el manteniment.
  • Do not expose the sensor to excessive moisture, dust, or corrosive environments.
  • Handle fiber optic cables with care to prevent damage.
  • Només personal qualificat ha de realitzar la instal·lació i el cablejat.

4. Instal·lació i configuració

4.1 Muntatge del sensor

  1. Choose a stable location free from excessive vibration.
  2. Mount the sensor unit securely using appropriate fasteners.
  3. Ensure proper alignment of the fiber optic cable and sensing head towards the target area.

4.2 Cablejat

Connect the sensor according to the wiring diagram provided with your specific application or system. Typically, this involves power supply (DC), output signal, and ground connections.

  • Font d'alimentació: Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals to a stable DC power source within the specified voltage gamma.
  • Sortida: Connect the output wire to your control system (e.g., PLC, relay).
  • Terra: Ensure proper grounding to prevent electrical noise.

Note: A detailed wiring diagram is usually provided with the product packaging or specific model documentation. Refer to it for precise connections.

4.3 Fiber Optic Cable Installation

  1. Carefully insert the fiber optic cable ends into the sensor's designated ports until they click into place.
  2. Ensure the fiber optic cable is not bent sharply or subjected to excessive tension.
  3. Position the fiber optic sensing head to detect the target object.

5. Funcionament

5.1 Engegada inicial

After completing installation and wiring, apply power to the sensor. The 'RUN' indicator light should illuminate.

5.2 Sensitivity Adjustment (SENS / SET)

The 'SENS' and 'SET' controls are used to adjust the detection sensitivity.

  1. Automatic Setting (AUTO): Place the target object in the desired sensing position. Press and hold the 'SET' button until the 'AUTO' indicator flashes, then release. The sensor will automatically adjust its sensitivity.
  2. Configuració manual: Use the 'SENS' dial or buttons (if applicable) to fine-tune the sensitivity. Observe the 'LIGHT' indicators (-1, +2, +3) to gauge the received light intensity. Adjust until the desired detection threshold is achieved.

5.3 Hysteresis Adjustment (HIS)

The 'HIS' control adjusts the hysteresis, which is the difference between the ON and OFF detection points. This helps prevent chattering when detecting objects with slight variations or vibrations.

5.4 Output Mode Selection (O.ON / L.ON)

The sensor typically offers different output modes:

  • O.ON (Light-ON): Output turns ON when light is received (object detected in through-beam or reflective mode).
  • L.ON (Dark-ON): Output turns ON when light is interrupted (object detected in through-beam or reflective mode).

Select the appropriate mode using the corresponding switch or button.

5.5 Delay Function (DLY)

If available, the 'DLY' setting allows for a time delay in the output signal, either on activation or deactivation. Refer to specific model documentation for delay adjustment procedures.

6. Manteniment

  • Neteja: Regularly clean the sensing head and fiber optic cable ends with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Inspecció: Periodically check the fiber optic cables for damage, kinks, or excessive bending. Ensure all connections are secure.
  • Condicions ambientals: Verifiqueu que l'entorn operatiu es mantingui dins dels rangs de temperatura i humitat especificats.

7. Solució De Problemes

ProblemaCausa possibleSolució
Sensor not powering onSense subministrament elèctric; cablejat incorrecte; unitat defectuosa.Comproveu les connexions d'alimentació i el volumtage. Verify wiring. If problem persists, contact support.
No detection / Intermittent detectionIncorrect sensitivity setting; dirty sensing head/fiber; misaligned fiber; damaged fiber; target too small/transparent.Adjust sensitivity (SENS/SET). Clean sensing head/fiber. Realign fiber. Check fiber for damage. Consider different fiber type or sensor.
False detectionExcessive ambient light; reflective background; vibration; incorrect sensitivity.Reduce ambient light. Adjust sensitivity. Use background suppression fiber. Increase hysteresis (HIS). Secure mounting.
Output always ON/OFFIncorrect output mode (O.ON/L.ON); sensor malfunction.Verify output mode setting. Check for detection issues (see above). If all else fails, contact support.
