1. Introducció

The ANENG SZ27 is a handheld pocket digital multimeter designed for high-precision measurements. This versatile instrument can measure AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, capacitance, and frequency. It also features diode testing, transistor (hFE) testing, circuit continuity, and Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) detection. With its backlit LCD screen and durable silicone sheath, the SZ27 is an ideal tool for on-site operations, laboratories, factories, radio enthusiasts, and home applications.

2. Informació de seguretat

WARNING: To avoid possible electric shock or personal injury, and to avoid possible damage to the meter or to the equipment under test, follow these safety rules:

  • Read this manual carefully before using the multimeter.

Note: The parameters are for reference only, and the actual measurement of the specific equipment shall prevail. The 2000V gear requires insertion into the 2KV positive socket (if applicable).

6. Configuració

6.1 Instal·lació de la bateria

The ANENG SZ27 Multimeter requires one 9V 6F22 battery (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the battery:

  1. Assegureu-vos que el multímetre estigui APAGAT.
  2. Localitzeu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria a la part posterior del multímetre.
  3. Feu servir un tornavís per obrir la tapa del compartiment de la bateria.
  4. Insert a new 9V 6F22 battery, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
  5. Substituïu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria i fixeu-la amb el cargol.

6.2 Connexió dels cables de prova

Always connect the test leads correctly before taking any measurements:

  • Introduïu el cable de prova negre al COM Presa d'entrada (comuna).
  • Per a la majoria de mesures (voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode, hFE, and mA current), insert the red test lead into the VΩmA presa d'entrada.
  • Per a mesures de corrent elevat (fins a 10 A), inseriu el cable de prova vermell al 10A MÀX presa d'entrada.

7. Modes de funcionament

To operate the multimeter, press the ON/OFF button to power it on. Select the desired function using the rotary dial. Use the SELECT button to toggle between AC/DC modes or other sub-functions if available within a single dial position.

7.1 Mesurar DC Voltage (V-)

  1. Gireu el dial giratori cap a V- posició.
  2. Connecteu el cable de prova negre al COM terminal i el cable de prova vermell al VΩmA terminal.
  3. Connect the test leads in parallel across the component or circuit to be measured.
  4. Llegeix el vol DCtage valor a la pantalla.

7.2 Mesurar AC Voltage (V~)

  1. Gireu el dial giratori cap a V~ posició.
  2. Connecteu el cable de prova negre al COM terminal i el cable de prova vermell al VΩmA terminal.
  3. Connect the test leads in parallel across the AC voltage font.
  4. Llegeix l'AC voltage valor a la pantalla.

7.3 Measuring DC Current (A-)

  1. Turn the rotary dial to the appropriate A- range (e.g., 200mA, 10A).
  2. Connecteu el cable de prova negre al COM terminal.
  3. Connecteu el cable de prova vermell al VΩmA terminal for mA ranges, or to the 10A MÀX terminal for 10A range.
  4. ADVERTIMENT: Always connect the multimeter in series with the circuit. Turn off power to the circuit before connecting the meter.
  5. Apply power to the circuit and read the DC current value.

7.4 Measuring AC Current (A~)

  1. Turn the rotary dial to the appropriate A~ range (e.g., 200mA, 10A).

7.5 Mesura de la resistència (Ω)

  1. Gireu el dial giratori cap a Ω posició.

7.6 Measuring Capacitance (F)

  1. Gireu el dial giratori cap a F posició.

  3. ADVERTIMENT: Always discharge capacitors before testing to prevent damage to the meter.
  4. Connecteu els cables de prova a través del condensador.

7.7 Mesura de la freqüència (Hz)

  1. Gireu el dial giratori cap a Hz posició.

7.8 Prova de díodes

  1. Gireu el dial giratori cap a Símbol de díode posició.

  3. Connecteu el cable de prova vermell a l'ànode i el cable de prova negre al càtode del díode.
  4. La pantalla mostrarà el volum d'avançtage drop. Reverse the leads; the display should show "OL" (Open Line) for a good diode.

7.9 Continuity Test (On-Off Beep)

  1. Gireu el dial giratori cap a Símbol de díode posició.
  2. Premeu el botó SELECCIONA button until the continuity symbol (a speaker icon) appears on the display.

  5. If the resistance is below a certain threshold (typically <50Ω), the buzzer will sound, indicating continuity.

7.10 hFE Triode Measurement

  2. Identify the Emitter (E), Base (B), and Collector (C) terminals of the transistor.
  3. Insert the transistor leads into the corresponding holes in the hFE triode jack on the multimeter.
  4. Read the hFE (DC current gain) value on the display.

7.11 Vol. sense contactetage (NCV) Detecció

  1. Gireu el dial giratori cap a NCV posició.
  2. Bring the top end of the multimeter close to an AC voltagfont d'alimentació (per exemple, un cable o una presa de corrent).
  3. Si AC voltage is detected, the indicator light will flash red and the buzzer will sound, with the frequency of beeps increasing as the meter gets closer to the source.

7.12 Retenció de dades (HOLD)

Premeu el botó MANTENIM button briefly to freeze the current reading on the display. Press it again to release the hold function.

7.13 Llum de fons

Premeu llargament el botó Backlight/HOLD button to turn the LCD backlight ON or OFF. This feature allows for clear visibility in dark environments.

7.14 Apagat automàtic

The multimeter will automatically power off after approximately 15 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. Press any button or turn the rotary dial to wake it up.

8. Solució De Problemes

This section addresses common issues you might encounter while using your ANENG SZ27 Multimeter.

8.1 Millivolt Value Jump / Non-Zero Reading in mV File

It is normal for the multimeter's mV file to show a non-zero reading or for the millivolt value to jump. This can be due to:

  • Excessive changes in ambient temperature and humidity: Environmental factors can influence sensitive readings.
  • Strong electric field or magnetic field interference: External electromagnetic interference can affect the meter's sensors.

If the meter does not return to zero, try shorting the red and black test leads. If it still does not return to zero, it is likely due to environmental factors and does not affect the use of the multimeter. It is recommended to eliminate environmental interference factors as much as possible for accurate measurement results.

8.2 Incorrect Current Measurement Readings

When measuring current, it is crucial to follow the correct procedure:

  • Current must be measured in series with the circuit. Never connect the multimeter in parallel when measuring current, as this can damage the meter and the circuit.
  • Always select the appropriate current range. If the display shows "1" (overload indicator), it means the selected range is too low; immediately switch to a higher range.
  • Ensure the red test lead is inserted into the correct current input socket (mA or 10A) for the expected current level.
  • Before inserting the meter into the circuit, disconnect power, break the circuit, and then insert the meter in series.

10. Manteniment

  • Neteja: Utilitzeu un suau, damp cloth to clean the meter's casing. Do not use abrasives or solvents.
  • Emmagatzematge: When not in use for extended periods, store the multimeter in its storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Substitució de la bateria: Replace the 9V battery promptly when the low power prompt appears on the display to maintain measurement accuracy. If the meter is not used for a long time, remove the battery to prevent leakage.
  • Cables de prova: Regularly inspect the test leads for any signs of damage, such as cracked insulation or exposed wires. Replace damaged leads immediately.
