Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the saw for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. The package should include the Makita LS1040 10-inch Compound Miter Saw, a 10-inch 40T Micro-Polished Miter Saw Blade (A-93669), a dust bag, a socket wrench (782232-8), a triangular rule (762001-3), and a vertical vise (122536-0).

The included dust bag helps collect sawdust during operation. Attach it to the dust port at the rear of the saw. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent it from detaching during use.

Adjusting Miter Angles

The miter saw allows for precise angle cuts. To adjust the miter angle:

1. Loosen the miter lock handle located at the front of the base.
2. Press the miter angle release button (if present) and pivot the turntable to the desired angle. The scale on the base indicates angles from 0° to 45° left and 0° to 52° right.
3. The saw features positive stops at common angles such as 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 30°, and 45° (left or right).
4. Once the desired angle is set, tighten the miter lock handle firmly to secure the turntable.

1. Loosen the bevel lock knob at the rear of the saw.

En funcionament

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your Makita LS1040 miter saw.

Encès i apagat

To turn the saw on, press the safety button and squeeze the trigger switch. To turn it off, release the trigger switch. Always ensure the saw is unplugged when not in use or when performing adjustments.
