Follow these steps to assemble your EarthWay 10001 Precision Garden Seeder.

1. Attach the Handle Assembly:

   Secure the handle to the main seeder frame using the provided bolts and nylon locking nuts. Ensure the natural bend of the handle is oriented correctly for comfortable operation. Tighten all bolts securely.

2. Instal·leu la roda del darrere:

   Flip the seeder assembly over to easily access the rear wheel axle. Slide the long bolt (axle) through the rear wheel and secure it between the two arms of the seeder frame. Tighten by hand until snug, then use pliers and a wrench for final tightening.
3. Assemble the Row Marker:

   Insert the row marker shaft into the designated hole on the seeder frame. Use the carriage bolt and wing nut to secure the row marker at the desired offset from the seeder. The square fitting on the row marker shaft ensures it locks into place.

1. Prepare the Soil:

Ensure your garden soil is tilled, loose, and free of large debris or thick organic matter for optimal seeder performance.

2. Select and Install Seed Plate:

Choose the appropriate seed plate from the 7 included options based on the type and size of seeds you are planting. Each plate is marked for specific seed types (e.g., sweet corn, beans, peas, carrots, radishes, beets, spinach).

To install, pinch the seed plate and turn the wheel to release the current plate. Insert the new plate, aligning the grooves, and turn the wheel until it locks into place.

3. Fill the Hopper:

Pour your chosen seeds into the rustproof poly hopper. Do not fill above the indicated line inside the hopper.

4. Adjust Seed Depth:

Use the adjustable furrow opener to set the desired seed depth. The plow blade has markings to guide your depth setting.

5. Begin Planting:

Push the seeder forward at a consistent pace. The front wheel drives the seed plate, dropping seeds at precise intervals into the furrow. The rear wheel and chain then cover the seeds and pack the soil.

Manteniment

• Neteja: After each use, empty any remaining seeds from the hopper. Clean the seed plates, hopper, and furrow opener to prevent clogs and ensure smooth operation. Use a brush to remove soil and debris.
• Lubricació: Periodically check moving parts for smooth operation. Apply a light lubricant if necessary, avoiding contact with seed-contacting surfaces.

Seeds Not Dropping Consistently:

• Check Seed Plate: Ensure the correct seed plate is installed and properly seated.
• Hopper Level: Verify there are enough seeds in the hopper. The seeder may not feed consistently with very low seed levels.
• Seed Condition: Ensure seeds are dry and free-flowing. Moisture can cause clumping.

Difficulty Pushing Seeder:
