Instal·lació de la bateria
The Fluke 179 comes with a 9V battery pre-installed. If replacement is needed, refer to the 'Battery Replacement' section under Maintenance.
Connexió de cables de prova
Insert the black test lead into the COM terminal. Insert the red test lead into the VΩmA terminal for voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, and low current measurements. For high current (10A) measurements, insert the red test lead into the 10A terminal.

Funcionament general
Turn the rotary switch to the desired function. The meter will automatically select the appropriate range for most measurements (Auto Range). Press the RANGE button to manually select a range if needed. Use the HOLD button to freeze the display reading. The MIN MAX button allows you to record minimum, maximum, and average readings over time.
Mesurament AC/DC Voltage
Turn the rotary switch to V~ for AC voltage or V- for DC voltage. Connect the test leads in parallel with the circuit or component to be measured. Read the voltage valor a la pantalla.
Mesura de corrent AC/DC
Turn the rotary switch to A~ for AC current or A- for DC current. For currents up to 400mA, use the mA terminal. For currents up to 10A, use the 10A terminal. Connect the meter in series with the circuit. Ensure the circuit is de-energized before connecting the meter in series.
Measuring Resistance, Continuity, and Diode
Turn the rotary switch to Ω for resistance, continuity, or diode test. For resistance, connect the leads across the component. For continuity, the meter will beep if the resistance is below a certain threshold. For diode test, connect the leads across the diode and observe the voltage gota.
Measuring Capacitance and Frequency
Turn the rotary switch to the capacitance (∔) or frequency (Hz) function. For capacitance, ensure the capacitor is discharged before connecting the leads. For frequency, connect the leads across the signal source.

Turn the rotary switch to the temperature (℃/℉) function. Connect the included temperature probe to the meter's input jacks. Place the probe on the surface or in the environment where temperature measurement is desired. The display will show the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Manteniment
Neteja
Netegeu el cas amb l'anunciamp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Clean the terminals periodically with a cotton swab and detergent. Dirt or moisture in the terminals can affect readings.
Canvi de bateria
When the battery symbol appears on the display, the 9V battery needs to be replaced. Turn the meter off and disconnect all test leads. Remove the screw from the battery compartment cover on the back of the meter. Lift off the cover and replace the old battery with a new 9V battery. Replace the cover and secure the screw.
