Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the Weller WHS40 soldering iron. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

The Weller WHS40 is a temperature-controlled soldering station designed for precision soldering tasks. It features a compact base unit with an integrated iron holder and a temperature-controlled soldering iron.

3. Configuració
- Desembalatge: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all included components are present: Soldering Iron, Iron Holder, and User Manual.
- Col·locació: Place the soldering station base unit on a stable, heat-resistant, and non-flammable surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Iron Holder Assembly: The iron holder is integrated into the base unit. Ensure the sponge tray is clean and the included sponge is moistened with distilled water before use.
- Connecteu el soldador: Insert the plug of the soldering iron cable firmly into the corresponding socket on the front of the base unit.
- Connexió d'alimentació: Plug the power cord of the soldering station into a standard 240V AC grounded electrical outlet.
4. Instruccions de funcionament
- Encès: Turn the power switch (if present, otherwise plug in) or the temperature control dial to the desired temperature setting. The power indicator LED on the base unit will illuminate.
- Configuració de la temperatura: Use the rotary dial on the front of the base unit to set the desired soldering temperature. The WHS40 has a temperature range of 200°C to 450°C (392°F to 842°F). For most general-purpose soldering, a temperature between 300°C and 350°C is suitable.
- Temps de calefacció: Allow a few minutes for the soldering iron to reach the set temperature. The indicator light may cycle on and off as the station maintains the temperature.
- Tip Tinning: Before first use and periodically during operation, tin the soldering iron tip. Apply a small amount of solder to the hot tip. This protects the tip from oxidation and improves heat transfer.
- Soldadura: Place the tip of the iron onto the joint to be soldered, ensuring good contact with both the component lead and the PCB pad. Apply solder to the heated joint, not directly to the iron tip. Allow the solder to flow smoothly and form a shiny, concave joint.
- Neteja de consells: Regularly wipe the hot tip on a damp sponge or brass wool to remove excess solder and oxidation. This helps maintain optimal performance.
- Apagar: When finished, turn the temperature control dial to the minimum setting or unplug the unit. Allow the iron to cool completely in its holder before storing.
5. Manteniment
- Cura de les puntes: Always keep the soldering tip tinned when hot. Clean the tip frequently during use. Replace tips when they become pitted or no longer accept solder easily.
- Manteniment de l'esponja: Mantingueu l'esponja de neteja damp (not soaking wet) with distilled water. Replace the sponge when it becomes worn or heavily soiled.
- Neteja general: Periodically wipe down the base unit and iron handle with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the unit is unplugged and cool before cleaning.
- Emmagatzematge: Store the soldering station in a clean, dry environment when not in use. Ensure the iron is cool before coiling the cable for storage.
