4. Guia de configuració
4.1 Instal·lació física
The DGS-1016D switch can be installed on a desktop or mounted in a standard 19-inch equipment rack.

- Attach the four rubber feet to the recessed areas on the bottom of the switch.
- Place the switch on a flat, stable surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure there is adequate space around the switch for proper airflow.

- Attach the two rack mount ears to the sides of the switch using the provided screws.

4.2 Connexió de dispositius
- Connect your network devices (computers, servers, network printers, etc.) to any of the 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports on the front panel using standard RJ-45 Ethernet cables.
- Connect the supplied AC power cord to the power input on the rear panel of the switch and then to a power outlet. Use the power cord retainer to secure the connection.

5. Instruccions de funcionament
5.1 Indicadors LED
The front panel of the DGS-1016D features LED indicators that provide real-time status information:

- Aïllament del port: When enabled, this feature isolates traffic between individual ports, preventing direct communication between them while still allowing communication with the uplink port. This can enhance security and mitigate broadcast storms.
