1. Introducció

• Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet, position the aquarium stand and tank to one side of a wall-mounted receptacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or plug. A "drip loop" should be arranged for each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to a receptacle. The "drip loop" is the part of the cord below the level of the receptacle, or the connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent water from traveling along the cord and coming into contact with the receptacle.
• If the plug or receptacle does get wet, NO unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the appliance. Then unplug the appliance and examine for the presence of water in the receptacle.
• Always unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.

4. Instruccions de configuració

1. Col·locació: Position the air pump on a flat, stable surface. For optimal performance and to prevent water damage, the air pump should always be placed above the water level of your aquarium. If placing the pump below the water level, a check valve deu be installed in the air line to prevent water from siphoning back into the pump during a power outage.
2. Connect Air Tubing: Attach one end of standard aquarium air tubing (not included) to the air outlet nozzle(s) on the pump. This model (40-60 gallon) typically features a single air outlet.
3. Connect Air Stone/Accessory: Connect the other end of the air tubing to your chosen air stone, ornament, or sponge filter.
4. Install Check Valve (if necessary): If your pump is placed below the aquarium water level, cut the air tubing and insert a check valve (not included) in the line, ensuring the arrow on the check valve points towards the aquarium.

5. Funcionament

Once plugged in, the Tetra Whisper Air Pump will begin operating immediately, producing a steady stream of air.
