1. Introducció
This manual provides essential instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Cherub WSM-330 mechanical metronome. The WSM-330 is designed to provide a consistent tempo for musical practice, featuring a traditional wood block chip sound and a 5-position bell for accentuating beats. It operates mechanically and does not require batteries.
2. Informació de seguretat
- Keep the metronome on a stable, flat surface to ensure accurate operation and prevent tipping.
- Avoid exposing the metronome to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the internal mechanism beyond the instructions provided in this manual. Unauthorized repairs can damage the device and void any potential warranty.
- Keep out of reach of small children to prevent accidental damage or injury.
3. Característiques del producte
- Traditional wood block chip sound for clear beat indication.
- Adjustable tempo range from 40 to 208 beats per minute (bpm).
- 5-position on/off bell for accentuating the first beat of a measure (2, 3, 4, 6, or off).
- High-quality metal mechanism ensures accuracy and durability.
- No batteries required; operates via a wind-up spring mechanism.
4. Configuració
Before first use, it is necessary to remove the protective packaging materials from the metronome's internal mechanism.
- Carefully remove the clear plastic front cover by gently pulling it upwards.
- Locate and remove any small styrofoam strips or protective materials attached to the pendulum.
- To access the lower part of the pendulum, gently remove the plastic bottom cover. This can often be done by squeezing the sides of the base or by using a small, flat tool (like a screwdriver) in a designated notch to pry it loose. Remove any remaining protective styrofoam.
- Once all protective materials are removed, reattach the bottom cover by aligning it and applying gentle pressure until it clicks into place. Replace the clear plastic front cover.

5. Instruccions de funcionament
5.1 Donar corda al metrònom
The WSM-330 is a mechanical metronome and requires winding to operate. Locate the winding key on the side of the unit. Turn the key clockwise to wind the internal spring. For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to wind the metronome approximately halfway, rather than fully to its maximum tension.
5.2 Setting the Tempo (BPM)
The tempo is adjusted by moving the sliding weight on the pendulum. To set the desired beats per minute (BPM):
- Gently slide the chrome weight up or down the pendulum rod.
- Align the top edge of the weight with the desired BPM marking on the scale. Moving the weight upwards decreases the tempo (slower BPM), and moving it downwards increases the tempo (faster BPM).
- Once the weight is set, gently push the pendulum to start its oscillation.

5.3 Using the Bell Accent
The WSM-330 features a bell mechanism to accent the first beat of a measure. This helps in practicing different time signatures.
- Locate the bell selector switch on the side of the metronome.
- Adjust the switch to the desired beat accent:
- 0 (desactivat): No bell sound.
- 2: Bell rings on every second beat.
- 3: Bell rings on every third beat.
- 4: Bell rings on every fourth beat.
- 6: Bell rings on every sixth beat.

6. Manteniment
- Neteja: Wipe the exterior of the metronome with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
- Emmagatzematge: When not in use, store the metronome in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the pendulum is secured or the metronome is placed in its original packaging if transporting.
- Mecanisme intern: The internal mechanism is factory-lubricated and generally does not require user maintenance. Do not apply oils or lubricants unless specifically instructed by a qualified technician.
7. Solució De Problemes
- Metronome does not start or stops prematurely:
- Ensure the metronome is fully wound (but not overwound).
- Verify that all internal protective packaging has been removed (refer to Section 4: Setup).
- Check if the pendulum is obstructed.
- Tempo is inconsistent or uneven:
- Ensure the metronome is placed on a perfectly level and stable surface.
- Confirm the sliding weight on the pendulum is securely positioned at the desired BPM mark.
- Avoid operating the metronome in extremely cold or hot environments, as this can affect the mechanism.
- Bell does not ring or rings incorrectly:
- Check the bell selector switch position (refer to Section 5.3: Using the Bell Accent).
- Ensure the metronome is wound sufficiently.
