Configuració

Desembalatge i inspecció

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the bull float blade and bracket for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. Do not use the tool if any damage is observed.

Assembling the Bull Float and Bracket

  1. Position the Rock-It 2.0 Bracket onto the bull float blade. Ensure the bracket aligns correctly with the pre-drilled holes on the blade.
  2. Secure the bracket to the blade using the provided fasteners. Tighten all bolts firmly to prevent any movement during operation.
  3. Attach the bull float handle (sold separately) to the Rock-It 2.0 Bracket. The bracket is designed to accommodate various handle types and allows for multi-angle floating. Ensure the handle is securely fastened to the bracket.

Instruccions de funcionament

Preparing the Concrete Surface

Ensure the concrete has been properly placed and screeded to the desired level. The bull float is used after screeding to level ridges and fill voids, bringing a small amount of cement paste to the surface for subsequent finishing operations.

Bull Floating Technique

  1. With the handle attached, place the bull float flat on the concrete surface at one end of the slab.
  2. Using the handle, push the float across the concrete surface in long, overlapping passes. The Rock-It 2.0 Bracket allows for easy adjustment of the blade angle to achieve the desired finish.
  3. Maintain a slight angle on the leading edge of the float to prevent it from digging into the concrete. The magnesium blade's lightweight nature assists in smooth operation.
  4. Pull the float back towards you, again with a slight angle on the leading edge. Overlap each pass to ensure uniform coverage.
  5. Continue floating until the surface is smooth, level, and free of imperfections. Avoid overworking the concrete, as this can weaken the surface.

Manteniment

Neteja

  • Immediately after each use, thoroughly clean the bull float blade and bracket.
  • Remove all concrete residue using water and a stiff brush. Do not allow concrete to dry on the blade, as this can make cleaning difficult and potentially damage the surface.
  • Rinse all components with clean water.

Emmagatzematge

  • After cleaning, ensure the bull float is completely dry before storing.
  • Store the bull float in a dry environment to prevent corrosion, especially on metal components of the bracket.
  • Store the tool in a manner that prevents the blade from being bent or damaged.

Resolució de problemes

Acabat irregular

  • Causa: Incorrect blade angle or inconsistent pressure.
  • Solució: Adjust the Rock-It 2.0 Bracket to achieve a slight upward angle on the leading edge. Apply consistent, even pressure across the entire pass. Ensure concrete consistency is uniform.

Float Digging into Concrete

  • Causa: Leading edge angle is too steep or concrete is too wet.
  • Solució: Reduce the angle of the leading edge. If the concrete is excessively wet, allow it to set slightly longer before floating.

Dificultat de maniobra

  • Causa: Handle not securely attached or concrete is too stiff.
  • Solució: Verify the handle is tightly secured to the Rock-It 2.0 Bracket. If concrete is too stiff, it may be past the optimal time for bull floating.
