Follow these steps for optimal trap placement using your SWISSINNO Install Kit:

Locate the Tunnel:
Insert the 25 cm tunnel probe into the soil near fresh molehills or vole mounds. Apply gentle pressure. When the probe suddenly drops with ease, you have located an active tunnel. This indicates the ideal spot for trap placement.

Prepare the Hole:
Using the serrated hole cutter, create a clean, vertical hole with a diameter of 6 cm (approximately 2.5 inches). The hole should be 1-2 cm (approximately 0.5-0.8 inches) deeper than the floor of the tunnel. Carefully remove any loose soil that falls into the passage or press it down into the hole to ensure a clear path for the trap.

Set the Trap (SuperCat Trap, not included):
Note: This kit is for use with SWISSINNO SuperCat traps (sold separately).
Pull the top handle of your SuperCat trap upwards to set the trap mechanism. The red prongs will retract, indicating it is armed.

Insert the Trap:
Push the set SuperCat trap into the prepared hole. Ensure the trap openings align with the direction and height of the underground tunnel. The trap should sit firmly in the hole.

Secure the Trap Area:
At the ground surface, tightly enclose the trap with grass, leaves, or loose soil. This prevents light and air from entering the hole, which can deter moles and gophers. The trap is now ready for use.

Once the trap is installed, check it regularly, ideally within 24 hours. Often, the trap will be successful within a few hours. A triggered trap indicates a successful catch.
