1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of the UEi Test Instruments DTH880 Wall Mounted Temperature and Humidity Tester. The DTH880 is designed to accurately measure and display ambient temperature and relative humidity, making it ideal for use in various environments such as computer rooms, mechanical rooms, shops, offices, and greenhouses.

4.1. Elements de visualització

• Visualització de la temperatura: Shows current temperature in Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C).
• Pantalla d'humitat: Shows current relative humidity in percentage (%RH).
• Indicador HOLD: Appears when the data hold function is active.
• Comfort Zone Indicator: A visual cue indicating comfortable temperature and humidity levels.

4.2. Botons de control

• Botó °C/°F: Canvia la visualització de la temperatura entre Celsius i Fahrenheit.
• Botó MAX/MIN: Displays the maximum or minimum recorded temperature and humidity since the last reset.
• Botó CLR: Clears the recorded maximum and minimum values.
• Botó HOLD: Freezes the current display readings. Press again to release.

5. Configuració

5.1. Instal·lació de la bateria

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the DTH880 unit.
2. Obriu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria.
3. Insert the required alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Tanqueu bé la tapa del compartiment de la bateria.

5.2. Opcions de muntatge

The DTH880 offers flexible placement options:

• Muntatge a la paret: Use the integrated keyhole slot on the back of the unit to hang it on a screw or nail on a wall. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and the unit is level.
• Muntatge a l'escriptori: Utilize the built-in kickstand on the back of the unit to place it upright on any flat surface, such as a desk or shelf.

6. Funcionament

6.1. Encès / apagat

The DTH880 powers on automatically once batteries are installed. There is no dedicated power button. To power off, remove the batteries.

6.2. Lectura de mesures

Once powered on, the current temperature and relative humidity will be displayed on the LCD screen.

6.3. Changing Temperature Units (°C/°F)

Premeu el botó ° C / ° F button to switch the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

6.4. Viewregistres mínims/màxims

Premeu el botó MAX/MIN button once to display the maximum temperature and humidity recorded since the last reset. Press it again to display the minimum recorded values. Press a third time to return to current readings.

6.5. Clearing Min/Max Records

Mentre viewing MAX or MIN records, press the CLR button to clear the stored maximum and minimum values. The display will return to current readings.

6.6. Using Data Hold

Premeu el botó MANTENIM button to freeze the current temperature and humidity readings on the display. The "HOLD" indicator will appear. Press the MANTENIM button again to release the function and resume live readings.

7. Manteniment

7.1. Neteja

Netegeu la unitat amb un suau, damp drap. No utilitzeu productes de neteja abrasius ni dissolvents. Assegureu-vos que no entri líquid al dispositiu.

7.2. Substitució de la bateria

When the display becomes dim or erratic, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type.

8. Solució De Problemes

• No Display / Unit Not Turning On:
  • Check battery installation. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
  • Substitueix les piles velles o gastades per unes de noves.
• Lectures inexactes:
  • Ensure the unit is placed in a location free from direct drafts, heat sources, or extreme humidity fluctuations.
  • Allow the unit to stabilize for at least 15-30 minutes after placement or battery replacement.
  • Note that the humidity sensor may not read below 25% RH accurately, as noted by some users. This is within the specified operating range of 25% to 95% RH.
• Botons que no responen:
  • Check battery level. Low batteries can affect button responsiveness.
