1. Introduction to Clue Game

The Clue Game is a classic mystery board game designed for 2 to 6 players, recommended for ages 8 and up. This updated edition presents a modern twist on the original, challenging players to solve a murder mystery set in a millionaire mogul's mansion. The objective is to determine who committed the crime, with what weapon, and in which room.

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for setting up, playing, and maintaining your Clue Game.

2. Components del joc

Before starting, ensure all the following components are present in your Clue Game box:

3. Configuració del joc

1. Prepara el tauler de joc: Unfold the gameboard and place it on a flat playing surface.

3. Tria personatges: Each player selects a Guest Mover (character token) and places it on its designated starting space on the gameboard.
4. Cartes separades: Separate the Character Cards, Weapon Cards, and Room Cards into three distinct piles. Shuffle each pile individually.
5. Determine the Solution:
   • Secretly take one Character Card, one Weapon Card, and one Room Card.
   • Place these three cards into the Case File Envelope without looking at them. This envelope contains the solution to the mystery.
   • Place the Case File Envelope in the designated space on the gameboard.

   • Deal these cards face down, one at a time, to each player until all cards are distributed. Players should keep their cards secret.
7. Prepare Detective Notebooks: Each player takes a Detective Notebook Sheet and a pencil (not included). Players mark off the cards they hold, as these cannot be part of the solution.
8. Intrigue Cards: Shuffle the deck of Intrigue Cards and place them face down on the designated space on the gameboard.

4. Funcionament (Joc)

4.1 Objectiu del joc

The goal of Clue is to be the first player to correctly identify the murderer, the weapon used, and the room where the crime took place.

4.2 Seqüència de torns del jugador

Players take turns in a clockwise direction. On your turn, follow these steps:

1. Tira els daus: Tira els dos daus.
2. Move Your Character: Move your Guest Mover the number of spaces indicated by the dice. You can move horizontally or vertically, but not diagonally. You cannot move through walls or occupy a space already occupied by another player.
3. Entrar a una sala: If you enter a room, you may make a Suggestion.
4. Draw an Intrigue Card (Optional/Mandatory): If you land on a question mark space, you must draw an Intrigue Card and follow its instructions. Some Intrigue Cards may allow you to move to any room, or introduce other game-changing events.
5. Make a Suggestion: When you are in a room, you can make a suggestion about who committed the murder, with what weapon, and in that specific room. For example, "I suggest it was Scarlet, with the Barbell, in the Spa."
6. Refute Suggestions: After a suggestion is made, the player to the left of the suggester must secretly show one card that matches the suggestion (if they have one) to the suggester. If they have multiple matching cards, they choose which one to show. If they have no matching cards, the next player to their left attempts to refute the suggestion, and so on, until a player shows a card or all players have been asked.
7. Mark Your Detective Notebook: Use the information gained (or not gained) to mark off possibilities on your Detective Notebook Sheet.

4.3 Making an Accusation

Once you believe you have determined the correct murderer, weapon, and room, you can make an Accusation. This can be done from any space on the board, typically by moving to the central "Pool" space.

1. State your accusation: "I accuse [Character], with the [Weapon], in the [Room]."
2. Secretly open the Case File Envelope and check the three cards inside.
