2. Configuració i connexió

The Air 2 is designed for universal compatibility, featuring a standard 3/8" hose thread for seamless integration with most scuba setups. Proper connection is crucial for safe operation.

1. Attach the Low-Pressure Hose: Connect the supplied low-pressure hose to the Air 2 regulator. Ensure the connection is secure and hand-tightened.
2. Connecta't a BCD: Attach the Air 2's inflator mechanism to your Buoyancy Control Device (BCD) inflator hose.

The Air 2 is designed for intuitive use, combining inflation/deflation controls with an alternate air source function.

3.1. Inflació i deflació

• Inflació: Press the red button (inflator button) to add air to your BCD. The air-balanced power inflator valve ensures a steady stream of air.
• Deflació: Press the gray button (deflator button) to release air from your BCD. The large purge button is designed for easy operation, even with thick gloves.

3.2. Alternate Air Source Function

In an emergency out-of-air situation, the Air 2 serves as a reliable alternate air source. Its integrated design means you always know where to locate your backup regulator.

• Respiració: The Air 2 features a comfortable mouthpiece, allowing it to be used for breathing directly.
• Dive/Pre-Dive Switch: The Air 2 includes a fixed Venturi Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) Flow Vane with a dive/pre-dive switch. This switch allows you to adjust the regulator mechanism to prevent free-flow at the surface or in strong currents, and to optimize breathing performance during a dive.

4. Manteniment

Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the safety and performance of your SCUBAPRO Air 2 regulator.

• Esbandida: After each dive, thoroughly rinse the Air 2 with fresh water while it is still pressurized to prevent water ingress into the internal components. Once rinsed, depress the purge button briefly to clear any water from the mouthpiece.
• Assecat: Allow the regulator to air dry completely in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight or excessive heat.

• Free-Flowing Regulator: If the regulator free-flows, ensure the dive/pre-dive switch is in the 'pre-dive' position when not actively breathing. Check for debris in the mouthpiece or diaphragm.
• Hard Breathing: Verify that the low-pressure hose is securely connected and that your tank has sufficient air pressure. Ensure the dive/pre-dive switch is in the 'dive' position.
• Fuites: Inspect all hose connections for tightness. Check O-rings for damage or displacement. If a leak persists, professional inspection is required.
• Inflator Malfunction: Ensure the BCD inflator mechanism is clean and free of sand or salt crystals. Check the quick-disconnect fitting for proper engagement.
