Palmer PAN03 Audio Interface

3. Configuració i connexions

The Palmer PAN03 is designed for straightforward integration into your audio setup. Follow these steps for proper connection:

4. Balanced Output Connection: Connect the "BALANCED OUTPUT" XLR connector on the front panel of each channel to the XLR input of your mixing console, audio interface, or other balanced input device. These outputs provide a balanced, low-impedance signal.
5. Rear Panel Outputs (Alternative): The rear panel also features "OUTPUT A" through "OUTPUT D" XLR connectors, which are parallel to the front panel balanced outputs. You can use either the front or rear XLR outputs based on your rack cabling convenience.

Once connected, the PAN03 is ready for operation. Each channel operates independently.

• PAD Switch (-30 dB):

  This switch attenuates the input signal by 30 dB. Engage the PAD switch when connecting high-level sources such as line outputs from mixers, active instruments, or loudspeaker outputs (e.g., from an amplifier's speaker output, ensuring proper load termination if required by the amplifier). This prevents input clipping and ensures a clean signal.
• Interruptor d'elevació GND:

  The Ground Lift switch disconnects the ground connection between the input and output stages. This is primarily used to eliminate hum or buzz caused by ground loops. If you experience unwanted noise, try engaging this switch. If the noise persists or worsens, disengage it.

  The signal enters via the INPUT jack. It is then buffered and converted to a balanced, low-impedance signal. The PAD switch affects the input level before conversion. The GND LIFT switch affects the ground path. The processed signal is then sent to the BALANCED OUTPUT XLR connector (front and rear).
