The 3M 8247 Disposable Odor Respirator is designed to help reduce exposure to particles and nuisance levels of organic vapors. Setup and Proper Usage

Proper fitting and use of the 3M R95 Odor Respirator are crucial for effective protection. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Inspeccioneu el respirador: Before each use, inspect the respirator for any damage, such as tears, holes, or stretched straps. Do not use if damaged.
2. Posicionament: Hold the respirator in your hand with the nosepiece at your fingertips, allowing the headbands to hang freely below your hand.
3. Placing on Face: Place the respirator over your nose and mouth. Pull the top strap over your head and position it above your ears. Pull the bottom strap over your head and position it around your neck, below your ears.
4. Noseclip Adjustment: Using both hands, mold the metal noseclip to the shape of your nose by pushing inward while moving your fingertips down both sides of the noseclip. This ensures a tight seal.

   If air leaks around the edges, readjust the noseclip and straps until a proper seal is achieved.

Manteniment

The 3M 8247 Odor Respirator is a disposable product and is not designed to be cleaned or reused after it becomes soiled, damaged, or breathing becomes difficult. For optimal protection and hygiene, dispose of the respirator when:

• It becomes difficult to breathe through.
• The respirator becomes damaged or distorted.
• You detect the odor of contaminants.
• At the end of your work shift or after 8 hours of continuous or intermittent use, whichever comes first.

Store unused respirators in their original packaging in a clean, dry environment away from contaminated areas.

If you encounter issues while using your 3M R95 Odor Respirator, consider the following:

• Dificultat per respirar: If breathing becomes difficult, the respirator may be clogged with particles. Dispose of the respirator and replace it with a new one.
• Detecting Odors: If you begin to smell or taste contaminants, the carbon layer may be saturated, or the seal may be compromised. Immediately leave the contaminated area, check your fit, or replace the respirator.
