4. Funcionament del telescopi
Once assembled, your Travel Scope 50 is ready for observation. Follow these guidelines for effective use:
- Alineació del Finderscope: Before observing, align the finderscope with the main telescope. During the day, point the main telescope at a distant, easily identifiable object (e.g., a tree top). Look through the finderscope and adjust its alignment screws until the object is centered in the finderscope's crosshairs.
- Apuntant el telescopi: Use the panhandle on the altazimuth mount to move the telescope horizontally and vertically. Loosen the tension knobs slightly to allow for smooth movement, then tighten them once your desired object is in view.
- Enfocament: Look through the eyepiece and slowly turn the focuser knob until the image is sharp and clear.
- Canvi d'ampliació: To change magnification, remove the current eyepiece and insert a different one. The 20mm eyepiece provides lower magnification and a wider field of view, ideal for locating objects. The 10mm eyepiece offers higher magnification for more detailed views.
- Ús de la lent de Barlow: The included 3x Barlow lens triples the magnification of any eyepiece. Insert the Barlow lens into the diagonal first, then insert an eyepiece into the Barlow lens.

5. Ampliació
The magnification of your telescope is determined by the focal length of the telescope divided by the focal length of the eyepiece. Your Travel Scope 50 has a focal length of 360mm.
- 20mm Eyepiece: 360mm / 20mm = 18x magnification. Ideal for wide-field views and locating objects.
- 10mm Eyepiece: 360mm / 10mm = 36x magnification. Provides higher power for more detailed observations.
- 3x Barlow Lens: This accessory triples the magnification of any eyepiece. For example, using the 20mm eyepiece with the 3x Barlow lens will give you 18x * 3 = 54x magnification.
6. Programari inclòs
Your Celestron Travel Scope 50 comes with valuable software to enhance your stargazing experience:
- Starry Night Basic Edition Software: This desktop astronomy software helps you identify celestial objects, plan observing sessions, and learn about the night sky. A download card with instructions is included.
- SkyPortal App: Download the Celestron SkyPortal app on your smartphone or tablet. This planetarium app helps you locate thousands of objects overhead in real-time and provides information about them.

- Òptiques de neteja: Use a soft, lint-free cloth and specialized optical cleaning solution. Avoid touching the lens surfaces with your fingers.
- Neteja general: Wipe down the telescope tube and tripod with a soft, damp tela. Eviteu els productes químics durs.
- Emmagatzematge: When not in use, store the telescope in its included backpack in a cool, dry place to protect it from dust and moisture. Ensure all caps are on the optical tube and eyepieces.
- Eviteu l'exposició solar: Never point the telescope directly at the sun without proper solar filters, as this can cause permanent eye damage.
9. Solució De Problemes
If you encounter issues with your telescope, consider the following common solutions:
- Imatge borrosa: Ensure the focuser knob is adjusted correctly. Check that the eyepiece is fully inserted and secured. Atmospheric conditions can also affect image clarity.
- Difficulty Finding Objects: Verify that the finderscope is properly aligned with the main telescope. Start with the lowest magnification eyepiece (20mm) for a wider field of view.
- No Image Visible: Check that all lens caps (front of the telescope, eyepiece, and diagonal) have been removed. Ensure the eyepiece is correctly inserted.
- Inestable View: Make sure the tripod legs are fully extended and locked, and the tension knobs on the mount are tightened. Observe from a stable surface.
