1. Introducció
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of the ROTHENBERGER 61700 ROTEST GW 150/4 Analogue Leakage Tester. This device is designed for precise and fast pressure measurement in gas and water pipes using air as the testing medium. It is a robust tool intended for professional applications.
2. Informació de seguretat
- Always read and understand this manual completely before operating the device.
- Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free before applying pressure.
- Do not exceed the maximum test range of 0-4 bar. Over-pressurization can damage the device and connected systems.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by local regulations.
- Store the device in a clean, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Only qualified personnel should perform leakage tests.
3. Producte acabatview
The ROTHENBERGER ROTEST GW 150/4 is an analogue leakage tester housed in a durable case. It features a monotube meter cap for precise readings and various connection components.

4. Configuració
- Desempaquetar el dispositiu: Carefully remove the tester and all accessories from its packaging.
- Inspeccionar per danys: Before each use, visually inspect the device, hoses, and connections for any signs of damage or wear. Do not use if damaged.
- Prepare the Test System: Ensure the pipe system to be tested is isolated and drained (if applicable) according to relevant safety standards (e.g., DVGW-TRGI for gas, TRWI for water).
- Connecteu el provador: Select the appropriate adapter for the pipe system. Connect the tester's hose securely to the pipe system. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent air leakage.
- Comprovar el nivell de líquid: Verify that the fluid in the manometer is at the correct level. If necessary, refill according to manufacturer guidelines (refer to specific instructions for fluid type and level).
5. Instruccions de funcionament
The ROTEST GW 150/4 allows for leakage testing of both gas and water pipes. Always refer to the integrated measured value table in the housing cover for specific measurement times and pressures according to DVGW-TRGI and TRWI standards.
5.1. Performing a Leakage Test
- Close all Outlets: Ensure all outlets and connections in the pipe system under test are securely closed.
- Connecteu el provador: As described in the Setup section, connect the tester to the pipe system.
- Apply Test Pressure: Use the hand pump to slowly and steadily increase the pressure in the pipe system until the desired test pressure (as per DVGW-TRGI/TRWI) is reached on the manometer. Do not exceed 4 bar.
- Observe Stabilization Period: Allow a short stabilization period (refer to standards) for the pressure to equalize within the system.
- Monitor Pressure Drop: After the stabilization period, observe the manometer for the specified test duration (refer to standards). A significant drop in pressure indicates a leak.
- Interpretar els resultats: Compare the observed pressure drop (if any) against the permissible values specified in the relevant standards (DVGW-TRGI for gas, TRWI for water).
- Pressió d'alliberament: Carefully release the pressure from the system after the test is complete.
- Disconnect Tester: Disconnect the tester from the pipe system.

6. Manteniment
- Neteja: After each use, clean the device and accessories with a damp tela. No utilitzeu netejadors abrasius ni dissolvents.
- Hose and Seal Inspection: Regularly inspect hoses, seals, and connections for cracks, wear, or damage. Replace any worn or damaged parts immediately to ensure accurate testing and prevent leaks.
- Comprovació de fluids: Periodically check the fluid level and clarity in the manometer. Replace the fluid if it appears cloudy or contaminated, following manufacturer guidelines.
- Emmagatzematge: Store the tester in its original case in a dry, dust-free environment.
7. Solució De Problemes
| Problema | Causa possible | Solució |
|---|---|---|
| Pressure drops rapidly during test. | Leak in the pipe system or tester connections. | Check all pipe system connections and tester connections for leaks. Tighten or replace seals/hoses as needed. |
| Cannot build sufficient pressure. | Loose connections, faulty hand pump, or significant leak. | Verify all connections are tight. Inspect the hand pump for damage. If a large leak is suspected, locate and repair it before retesting. |
| Manometer fluid level is incorrect or cloudy. | Evaporation, contamination, or incorrect initial fill. | Refill or replace manometer fluid according to manufacturer specifications. |
| Lectures inexactes. | Air bubbles in manometer, damaged manometer, or external factors. | Gently tap the manometer to dislodge air bubbles. If issues persist, the manometer may require professional calibration or replacement. Ensure stable environmental conditions. |
