1. Introducció

• Keep Combination Secure: Always store your safe's combination in a secure location, separate from the safe itself. Do not store the combination inside the safe.
• Desiccant Bags: Do not discard the desiccant bags provided inside your safe. These bags help prevent moisture from building up. Replace or reactivate your desiccant bags every 6 months for optimum performance.
• Bolting Down: If you choose to bolt down your safe, be aware that drilling through the safe may compromise its waterproof capabilities. Ensure the safe is placed in a location where water exposure is minimal if bolting down.

3. Configuració

3.1 Desembalatge i col·locació

Carefully remove the safe from its packaging. Inspect the safe for any signs of damage. Place the safe on a flat, stable surface. Consider a location that is easily accessible but also discreet for security.

3.2 Initial Access and Factory Combination

Your safe comes with a factory-set combination. This combination is typically found on the back cover of the owner's manual or on a sticker attached to the safe. Ensure you record this combination in a secure place, separate from the safe.

3.3 Bolting Down the Safe

For added security, your SentrySafe can be bolted to the floor. Hardware for bolt-down installation is included. Follow the instructions provided in the separate bolt-down kit. Remember that drilling into the safe may affect its waterproof rating.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1 Opening the Safe (Dial Combination with Secondary Key)

To open your SentrySafe SFW123DSB, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the handle is positioned UPWARD in the horizontal position.
2. Insert the secondary key into the lock and rotate it CLOCKWISE to the unlocked position. Remove the key.
3. Start with the dial set to ZERO.
4. Rotate the dial CLOCKWISE past the FIRST number in your combination TWO times, stopping on the number the THIRD time.
5. Rotate the dial COUNTERCLOCKWISE past the SECOND number in your combination ONCE, stopping on the number the SECOND time.
6. Rotate the dial CLOCKWISE directly to the THIRD number in your combination.
7. Rotate the handle DOWNWARD to the 7 o'clock position and open the door.

It is recommended to test your combination several times with the door in the OPEN position before closing and locking your safe.

4.2 Tancament i bloqueig de la caixa forta

To close and lock your SentrySafe:

1. Tanqueu bé la porta de la caixa forta.
2. Pull the handle UPWARD to the horizontal position.
3. Rotate the dial CLOCKWISE at least two times to scramble the combination.
4. For additional security, insert the secondary key and rotate it COUNTERCLOCKWISE to the locked position. Remove the key.

5.1 Desiccant Bag Management

The desiccant bags included with your safe are crucial for preventing moisture buildup inside. Do not remove or discard them. To maintain optimal performance, reactivate or replace the desiccant bags every 6 months. Reactivation instructions are typically provided with the desiccant bags or can be found on the SentrySafe weblloc.

Clean the exterior of your safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish. The interior generally requires minimal cleaning; use a dry cloth to wipe away any dust.

• Stuck Handle: If the handle is stiff, ensure the safe is on a level surface. Apply gentle, firm pressure. Do not force the handle.
