1. Introducció i informació de seguretat

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your ECHO CS-271T-12 Gas Chain Saw. 2. Muntatge i muntatge

2.1 Desembalatge i inspecció

Carefully remove the chain saw and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. If any damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact your dealer.

2.2 Instal·lació de la barra i la cadena

2. Remove the chain cover nuts and chain cover.
3. Place the chain around the clutch drum and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face forward on the top of the bar.
4. Mount the guide bar onto the studs, aligning the chain tensioner pin with the hole in the guide bar.
5. Replace the chain cover and hand-tighten the nuts.
6. Adjust chain tension using the side access chain tensioner until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely by hand.
7. Fully tighten the chain cover nuts.

2.3 Combustible i oli de cadena

This chain saw requires a specific fuel mixture and chain lubricant.

• Mescla de combustible: Use a 50:1 ratio of high-quality 2-stroke engine oil to unleaded gasoline (minimum 89 octane). Mix thoroughly in a separate, approved fuel container.
• Oli de cadena: Use a high-quality bar and chain oil. Do not use waste oil or motor oil, as this can damage the chain and bar.

Fill the fuel tank and chain oil reservoir, ensuring not to overfill. Wipe up any spills immediately.

3. Instruccions de funcionament

3.1 Arrencada del motor (arrencada en fred)

1. Place the chain saw on a firm, flat surface. Ensure the chain brake is engaged.
2. Press the purge bulb several times until fuel is visible in the return line.
3. Moveu la palanca de l'asfixia a la posició FULL CHOKE.
4. Pull the starter handle firmly and quickly until the engine fires (usually 1-3 pulls). Do not pull the rope to its full extension.
5. Once the engine fires, move the choke lever to the HALF CHOKE position.
6. Pull the starter handle again until the engine starts and runs.
7. Once the engine is running, move the choke lever to the RUN position. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments.
8. Disengage the chain brake before beginning cutting operations.

Always maintain a firm grip with both hands on the chain saw handles. Stand with your feet apart for balance. Avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar to prevent kickback.

• Limbing: Remove branches from a fallen tree. Work from the bottom up, supporting the branch if necessary to prevent pinching.
• Enganxament: Cut a fallen log into sections. Be aware of tension and compression in the wood to avoid pinching the bar.

4. Manteniment

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chain saw.
