Instruccions de funcionament
The AKG C414 XLII offers several adjustable settings to optimize performance for different recording scenarios.
1. Selecció del patró polar
The microphone features nine selectable polar patterns, allowing you to choose the directionality of sound capture. Use the switches on the front of the microphone to cycle through the patterns:
- Cardioide: Picks up sound primarily from the front, rejecting sound from the sides and rear. Ideal for vocals and close-miking instruments.
- Figure of Eight: Picks up sound equally from the front and rear, rejecting sound from the sides. Useful for duets or capturing room ambiance.
- Hypercardioid: A tighter version of cardioid, offering more side rejection and a small lobe of sensitivity at the rear.
- Omnidireccional: Picks up sound equally from all directions. Suitable for capturing room sound or multiple sources.
- Wide Cardioid: A broader cardioid pattern, offering a wider pickup angle than standard cardioid.
- Additional intermediate patterns are also available.

2. Attenuation Levels (Pad)
The C414 XLII features three attenuation levels (-6 dB, -12 dB, -18 dB) to prevent overload when recording very loud sound sources. Use the switch on the back of the microphone to select the appropriate pad setting.
3. Bass-Cut Filters
Three different switchable bass-cut filters (40 Hz, 80 Hz, 160 Hz) are available to minimize unwanted low-frequency noise such as wind noise, stage vibration, or proximity effect. Use the switch on the back of the microphone to select the desired filter.

- Eviteu exposar el micròfon a temperatures extremes o humitat elevada.
- Clean the microphone's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

Resolució de problemes
If you experience issues with your AKG C414 XLII microphone, consider the following:
- Sense so: Ensure +48V phantom power is enabled on your audio interface/mixer. Check all cable connections for security.
- So distorsionat: If the sound is distorted, activate an attenuation pad (-6 dB, -12 dB, or -18 dB) on the microphone to reduce the input level, especially with loud sound sources.
- Excessive Low-End Noise: Engage one of the bass-cut filters (40 Hz, 80 Hz, or 160 Hz) to reduce unwanted low-frequency rumble or proximity effect.
- Senyal intermitent: Check XLR cable for damage or loose connections. Try a different cable if possible.
