4.2. Configuració inicial del maquinari

Install Hard Drives (Diskless Model): If you have the diskless model, install compatible SATA II hard drives into the bays. Refer to the Quick Install Guide for detailed instructions on drive installation. One original hard drive must remain in the system during replacement or upgrade.
Connecteu-vos a la xarxa: Connect one end of the provided Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of the StorCenter ix2 and the other end to an available port on your network router or switch.

4.3. Software Setup and Configuration

The StorCenter ix2 features an easy setup process that does not require a CD or client software. Management is performed via a user-friendly web-interfície basada.

5.3. Mobile Access with Iomega Link App

The Iomega Link App provides remote connectivity to your NAS device from anywhere via Wi-Fi or 3G network. It enables:

Upload & Download: Upload contacts and photos to the NAS; download them to a new device. Backups are saved in separate folders for multiple devices.

6.2. Drive Replacement and Expansion

The StorCenter ix2 supports user-replaceable hard disk drives. When replacing or upgrading drives, ensure one original hard drive remains in the system during the process. The device also supports USB-attached HDD expansion for additional storage.

To reduce power consumption, the hard drives will spin down when not in active use. A variable-speed fan ensures efficient cooling while minimizing power usage.
