Connect the detector using the provided Quick-Connect wiring harness. Ensure proper connection of black (line), white (neutral), and orange (interconnect) wires according to local electrical codes and the included instructions. The unit also requires 2 AA batteries for backup power.

Once installed and powered, the detector will perform a self-test. A green LED light indicates proper functioning. The unit features a test/silence button for regular checks and to temporarily silence nuisance alarms.
