Configuració i instal·lació
This section outlines the steps for securely mounting your Chief VCMU projector mount.
1. Prepare the Mounting Surface
Identify a suitable mounting location. The surface must be structurally sound and capable of supporting the combined weight of the mount and projector (up to 250 lbs).
- For ceiling installations, locate ceiling joists or use appropriate anchors.
- For wall installations, ensure studs are located or use heavy-duty wall anchors.
2. Attach the HBU Bracket to the Projector
- Align the HBU bracket arms with the mounting holes on your projector.
- Use the appropriate screws from the hardware kit to secure the bracket to the projector. Ensure all screws are tightened evenly.
- Adjust the arms as necessary to achieve a balanced and secure fit.
3. Mount the VCMU Assembly
- Position the VCMU mount base on the prepared mounting surface.
- Mark the drilling locations through the mount's base plate.
- Drill pilot holes as required for your chosen fasteners.
- Secure the VCMU mount base to the surface using the appropriate heavy-duty fasteners. Ensure it is firmly attached and level.
4. Attach Projector to Mount
- Carefully lift the projector with the attached HBU bracket.
- Align the HBU bracket with the receiver on the VCMU mount.
- Slide the bracket into place until it locks securely.
- Engage any safety screws or locking mechanisms to prevent accidental disengagement.

Once installed, the Chief VCMU mount allows for precise adjustments to optimize your projector's image.
Pitch, Roll, and Yaw Adjustments
- Pitch Adjustment: Loosen the pitch adjustment screws slightly. Tilt the projector up or down to achieve the desired vertical angle. Tighten screws to secure.
- Roll Adjustment: Loosen the roll adjustment screws. Rotate the projector left or right to level the image horizontally. Tighten screws to secure.
- Yaw Adjustment: The mount allows for rotation around the central axis. Loosen the yaw locking mechanism, rotate the projector to the desired horizontal position, and then re-tighten.
Always make small adjustments and re-tighten all screws to ensure stability after each adjustment.
Manteniment
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your Chief VCMU projector mount.
- Inspecció periòdica: Annually inspect all mounting hardware and connections for tightness. Re-tighten any loose screws or bolts.
