Introducció

The Overhead Door Wireless Garage Door Opener Keypad (Model OKP-BX) provides secure, keyless entry to your garage. This weather-resistant keypad is designed for use with Overhead Door CodeDodger openers manufactured since 1995. It eliminates the need for remote controllers or keys, offering convenient access for up to three Overhead Door garage door openers. The new flip-up cover design features larger, lighted keypad buttons for improved visibility. The cover can be easily removed without tools, and its movement does not activate the keypad, preventing premature battery drain. A color-coded program button is positioned away from numeric buttons to minimize unintended activation.

Configuració

1. Instal·lació de la bateria

The keypad requires 2 AAA batteries for operation. These are typically pre-installed or included in the package. To access the battery compartment, slide the bottom cover of the keypad downwards. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Replace the cover securely.

2. Muntatge del teclat

Select a suitable location on your garage door frame or an adjacent wall, ensuring it is within easy reach and clear of any moving parts of the garage door. Use the provided screws and anchors to securely mount the backplate of the keypad. Once the backplate is mounted, align the keypad with the backplate and slide it downwards until it clicks into place. Ensure the keypad is firmly attached to prevent accidental dislodgement.

To program your keypad with your garage door opener, follow these steps:

1. Set an Initial PIN Code: Press and hold the "PROGRAM" button on the keypad for 3 seconds. The LED will blink twice and two beeps will be heard. Enter a 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) of your choice. Press the UP/DOWN button.
2. Put Garage Door Opener into Programming Mode: Locate the "Learn" button on your garage door opener. The color of this button (Yellow, Purple, Red/Orange, or Green) indicates the type of opener. Press and release the "Learn" button once. The red LED on the opener will begin to flash. You will have 30 seconds to complete the next step.
3. Sync Keypad with Opener: Keep the keypad about 11.8-15.8 inches away from the garage door opener. Enter the 4-digit PIN you chose, then press the UP/DOWN button. The garage door opener will activate, and the keypad will remain lit for 10 seconds, indicating successful syncing. If it fails, repeat the steps.

1. Opening/Closing the Garage Door

To open or close your garage door, simply enter your programmed 4-digit PIN on the keypad and then press the UP/DOWN button. The garage door will activate. If you wish to stop or reverse the door's movement, press the UP/DOWN button again.

2. Setting a Temporary PIN

You can set a temporary PIN for guests or service personnel. This temporary PIN will become invalid after a single use or after a set period. Refer to the detailed instructions provided with your keypad for specific steps on setting and managing temporary PINs.

3. Keypad Backlighting

The keypad buttons are backlit, illuminating when pressed. This feature enhances visibility and ease of use in low-light conditions or at night.

For best results, use standard alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
