Introducció
The Hasbro Gaming Battleship Classic Board Game is a naval combat strategy game designed for two players. The objective is to locate and sink your opponent's fleet of five ships before they sink yours. This manual provides instructions for setup, gameplay, and game components.

Configuració
- Prepare Ships: Carefully detach the 10 plastic ships from their frame. Discard any excess plastic. Each player will have a fleet of 5 ships.
- Aplica etiquetes: Apply the "Battleship" labels to the lids of the two battle cases.
- Distribute Pegs: Divide the red "hit" pegs and white "miss" pegs equally between both players. Place them in the designated storage compartments within each battle case.
- Position Battle Cases: Sit facing each other with the lids of your game battle cases raised so that neither player can see the other's ocean grid.
- Place Your Fleet: Secretly place your five ships on your ocean grid (the lower grid). Each ship must fit its two pegs into two holes on your ocean grid. Ships can be placed horizontally or vertically, but not diagonally. No part of a ship should overlap letters or numbers on the grid.

Joc
- Determinar el primer jugador: Decide which player will go first.
- Call Your Shot: On your turn, pick a coordinate on your target grid (the upper grid) and call out its location by letter and number (e.g., "D-4").
- Opponent's Response: Your opponent must tell you if your shot was a "Hit" or a "Miss".
- If it's a Hit: Your opponent places a red peg in the corresponding hole of the hit ship on their ocean grid. You place a red peg in the corresponding hole on your target grid to mark the hit.
- If it's a senyoreta: Your opponent places no peg. You place a white peg in the corresponding hole on your target grid to mark the miss.
- Sinking a Ship: Once all the holes in a ship have red pegs, it has been sunk. The ship's owner must announce which ship was sunk.
- Guanyar el joc: The first player to sink all five of their opponent's ships wins the game.

Advanced Play: The Salvo Game
For experienced players, the Salvo game variation offers a more challenging experience. In this mode, you get as many shots on your turn as ships you have afloat in your fleet.
- Each player starts with a salvo of five shots (one for each ship in their fleet).
- Fire them one at a time, and your opponent announces whether the shot is a hit or a miss. Mark your hits and misses as in the standard game.

- For an even more challenging Salvo game, do not announce which ships are hit.
Manteniment
To ensure the longevity of your Battleship game:

- Clean game boards and pieces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Keep the game away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
