Configuració i instal·lació
1. Selecció de l'emplaçament
Choose a level, firm location as close to the pool as possible. Ensure adequate drainage and protection from direct sunlight and extreme weather. The location should allow easy access for maintenance.
2. Assembling the Filter Base and Tank
- Place the filter base on the selected level surface.
- Carefully place the 19-inch sand filter tank onto the filter base, ensuring it is securely seated.

3. Filling the Filter Tank with Sand
- Remove the multi-port valve from the top of the tank.
- Place a plastic bag or cover over the standpipe inside the tank to prevent sand from entering it.
- Fill the tank approximately halfway with water. This helps cushion the sand as it's added.
- Slowly add up to 175 lbs of #20 silica sand (not included) into the tank. Ensure the sand is evenly distributed.
- Remove the plastic bag/cover and ensure no sand entered the standpipe.
4. Attaching the Multi-Port Valve
- Ensure the O-ring is properly seated on the multi-port valve.
- Carefully align the multi-port valve with the tank opening and the standpipe. Press down firmly to ensure a tight seal.
- Secure the valve to the tank using the provided clamp or bolts, tightening evenly.
5. Connecting the Pump and Hoses
- Connect the pump to the filter tank using the provided short hose. Ensure all connections are tight and use Teflon tape on threaded fittings to prevent leaks.
- Connect the pool's skimmer line to the pump's inlet.
- Connect the multi-port valve's "RETURN" port to the pool's return line.
- Connect a backwash hose (not included) to the "WASTE" port of the multi-port valve, directing it to an appropriate drainage area.

Operating the Filter System
Before starting the pump, ensure the pool is filled to the proper level and all connections are secure. The multi-port valve allows for various operational modes:

| RECIRCULAR | Bypasses the filter, circulating water directly back to the pool. Useful for distributing chemicals without filtering. |

Important: Always turn off the pump before changing the multi-port valve setting to prevent damage to the valve or system.
Manteniment

Backwash your filter when the pressure gauge reads 8-10 PSI above its clean starting pressure, or when water clarity decreases. This typically occurs every 1-2 weeks depending on pool usage and debris.

- Turn on the pump. Run for 2-3 minutes or until the water in the sight glass runs clear.

- Set the multi-port valve to ESbandida.
- Turn on the pump. Run for 30-60 seconds.

- Set the multi-port valve to FILTRE.
- Turn on the pump to resume normal filtration.
Sand Replacement
The filter sand typically lasts for approximately 5 years, depending on water chemistry and backwashing frequency. Replace the sand when filtration efficiency significantly decreases despite regular backwashing.
