4. Configuració
4.1 Connexió inicial de la bateria
Upon receiving your UPS, the internal battery may be disconnected for safety during shipping. You will need to connect the battery before initial use. Refer to the instructions below for proper connection.

4.2 Connexió a l'alimentació i als dispositius
- Plug the UPS power cord directly into a properly grounded wall outlet. Avoid using extension cords.
- Connect your critical equipment (servers, network devices) to the battery backup outlets (typically labeled). These outlets provide power during outages.
- Connect non-critical equipment to the surge-only outlets. These outlets provide surge protection but no battery backup.
- For automatic computer shutdown during extended power outages, connect the provided data cable from the UPS data port to your computer. Install the APC PowerChute software (available from the manufacturer's website) on your computer.
5. Funcionament
5.1 Encesa/apagada
- To turn on the UPS: Press and hold the power button until the display illuminates.
- To turn off the UPS: Press and hold the power button until the display turns off.

The front panel display provides real-time information about the UPS status:

6. Manteniment
6.1 Substitució de la bateria
The internal batteries are maintenance-free, sealed lead-acid. They are hot-swappable, meaning they can be replaced without shutting down connected equipment. However, for safety, it is recommended to disconnect the UPS from the main power source before replacement.
- Ensure the UPS is disconnected from the wall outlet.
- Locate the battery access panel, typically on the side or front of the unit.
- Remove any retaining screws or latches securing the panel.
- Carefully slide out the old battery pack. Note the orientation and connection points.
- Disconnect the battery cables (red and black) from the old battery.
- Connect the new battery cables to the new battery, ensuring correct polarity (red to red, black to black).
- Slide the new battery pack into the unit, ensuring it is securely seated.
- Replace the access panel and any retaining screws/latches.
- Reconnect the UPS to the wall outlet.
7. Solució De Problemes
7.1 UPS Beeping Continuously
- Causa: The battery may be disconnected or improperly installed.
- Solució: Ensure the battery is correctly connected and seated. For new units, the battery might be shipped upside down or disconnected. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 6.1.
7.2 Sense sortida de potència
- Causa: UPS is off, battery is depleted, or circuit breaker tripped.
- Solució: Turn on the UPS. Check the battery charge level. Reset the circuit breaker on the back of the unit if it has tripped.
7.3 Short Run Time
- Causa: Overload, aging battery, or insufficient charge.
- Solució: Reduce the connected load. Allow the battery to fully charge (up to 3 hours). If the battery is old, consider replacing it.
