3.1. Ports i botons del panell posterior
- Port DC-IN: Connects to the included power adapter for power supply.
- Port LAN: Connects to your network switch or router. This port also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for power and data transmission.

4.1. Attaching Antennas
Carefully screw the four external omni-directional antennas onto the corresponding connectors on the device. Ensure they are securely fastened but do not overtighten.

- EZ Controller Software: Download and install the EnGenius EZ Controller software from the EnGenius website. This software allows for centralized monitoring and management of multiple EnGenius access points.
During initial setup, it is recommended to:
- Change the default administrator password.
- Configure the SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and security settings (WPA2-PSK recommended).
- Adjust channel frequencies to avoid interference, especially in congested environments.

5.1. Dual-Band Operation
The ECB600 supports simultaneous operation on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. This allows for greater flexibility and performance:
- Banda de 2.4 GHz: Offers wider coverage and better penetration through obstacles, suitable for general internet browsing and devices further away.
- Banda de 5 GHz: Provides higher speeds and less interference, ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications like video streaming and online gaming, especially for devices closer to the access point.
You can configure separate SSIDs for each band or use a single SSID with band steering enabled (if supported by your firmware) to allow devices to automatically connect to the optimal band.
5.2. SSID-to-VLAN Tagging
The ECB600 supports up to eight SSIDs (four per frequency band), each of which can be tagged to a specific VLAN. This feature allows for network segmentation, enabling different user groups (e.g., guests, employees, IoT devices) to have separate access rights and network resources, enhancing security and network management.
5.3. High Power and Long-Range Coverage
With high RF transmit power (29 dBm for 2.4 GHz, 26 dBm for 5 GHz), the ECB600 provides extended wireless coverage, reducing dead zones and improving signal strength across larger areas.
6. Manteniment
6.1. Actualitzacions de firmware
Regularly check the EnGenius website for the latest firmware updates. Firmware updates can improve performance, add new features, and address security vulnerabilities. Follow the instructions provided with the firmware download for the update process.
6.2. Restabliment dels valors predeterminats de fàbrica
If you encounter persistent issues or forget your login credentials, you can reset the device to its factory default settings. With the device powered on, use a paperclip or similar pointed object to press and hold the Reset button for approximately 10 seconds. The device will restart with default settings.
6.3. Neteja
Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to the DC-IN port and a working electrical outlet.
- If using PoE, verify that the Ethernet cable is connected to a PoE-enabled port on your switch/injector and that the PoE source is active.
- Check the Power LED on the device. If it is off, try a different power source or adapter.

- Ensure your device is within range of the access point.

- Ensure the access point is placed in a central location, away from obstructions and sources of interference (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones).
- Check for overlapping Wi-Fi channels in your area using a Wi-Fi analyzer tool. Adjust the channel settings in the ECB600's configuration to a less congested channel.
- Ensure your client devices support 802.11n and are connecting to the appropriate band (5 GHz for higher speeds).
- Update the firmware of the ECB600 to the latest version.
7.4. Device Unresponsive or Locking Up
- Perform a soft reboot by unplugging and replugging the power.
- If the issue persists, consider performing a factory reset (see Section 6.2) and reconfiguring the device.
- Ensure the device has adequate ventilation to prevent overheating.
- Verify that the firmware is up to date.
