Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P AM3+ motherboard. This motherboard features GIGABYTE UEFI Dual BIOS technology, Ultra Durable 4 Classic technology, and supports AMD AM3+ FX/AM3 Phenom II, Athlon II series processors. It includes 2 PCI-E 2.0 x16 interfaces with AMD CrossFire support, 6 native SATA3 ports with up to 6Gbps link speed and RAID 0,1,5,10 support, and 4 USB 3.0 ports with transfer rates of up to 5Gbps. Configuració i instal·lació

1. Instal·lació de la CPU

This motherboard supports AMD AM3+ FX, AM3 Phenom II, and Athlon II series processors. Carefully open the CPU socket lever, align the CPU with the socket (matching the golden triangle on the CPU to the triangle on the socket), gently place the CPU into the socket, and then close the lever to secure it.

2. Instal·lació de memòria (RAM)

The motherboard features four 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets, supporting up to 32 GB of system memory. Compatible speeds include DDR3 2000(O.C), 1866, 1333, and 1066 MHz. Open the clips on both ends of the DIMM slot, align the memory module with the slot key, and press firmly until the clips snap into place.

The motherboard provides 2 PCI Express x16 slots (one running at x16, one at x4), 3 PCI Express x1 slots, and 2 PCI slots. Insert your graphics cards or other expansion cards firmly into the appropriate slots until they are securely seated.

Connect the 24-pin ATX main power connector and the 8-pin ATX 12V power connector from your power supply to the corresponding sockets on the motherboard.

Connect your peripherals to the rear I/O panel. This includes USB devices, Ethernet cable, and audio devices.

7. Internal Headers

Connect front panel USB ports (up to 12 USB 2.0/1.1 ports and 4 USB 3.0/2.0 ports), audio jacks, and system indicators/buttons to the respective headers on the motherboard.

After successful installation, power on your system. The GIGABYTE UEFI Dual BIOS provides a user-friendly interface for system configuration. You can access the BIOS setup by pressing the Del key during system startup.

Resolució de problemes

Si teniu problemes, consulteu els passos habituals següents per a la resolució de problemes:

• Sense energia: Verify all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin ATX 12V) are securely connected to the motherboard and power supply. Check the power supply unit (PSU) functionality.
• Sense pantalla: Ensure the graphics card is correctly seated in its PCI-E slot and connected to the monitor. If using integrated graphics (not applicable for this model without an APU), ensure the monitor is connected to the motherboard's video output.
