1. Introducció

This manual provides instructions for the operation and maintenance of your Timex Men's Expedition Digital CAT5 41mm Watch. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper use and to maximize the lifespan of your timepiece.

The Timex Expedition Digital CAT5 watch is designed for durability and functionality, featuring a 100-hour chronograph, 24-hour countdown timer, multiple alarms, and Indiglo night-light. It is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet).

  • Botó SET: S'utilitza per entrar i sortir dels modes de configuració.
  • Botó MODE: Passa ciclament pels diferents modes de rellotge (hora, cronògraf, temporitzador, alarma).
  • Botó INICI/DIVIDICIÓ: Starts/stops chronograph, sets values in setting mode.

3. Configuració inicial

3.1 Configuració de l'hora i la data

  1. En el mode Temps, premeu i manteniu premut el botó SET botó fins que la pantalla parpellegi.
  2. Premeu el botó MODE per anar des de la configuració: segons, hora, minut, any, mes, dia.
  3. Utilitza el INICI/DIVISIÓ botó per augmentar el valor intermitent o el STOP/RESET botó per reduir-lo.
  4. Un cop definits tots els valors desitjats, premeu la tecla SET botó de nou per sortir del mode de configuració.

3.2 Format de 12/24 hores

While in Time mode, press the INICI/DIVISIÓ button to toggle between 12-hour (AM/PM indicator) and 24-hour (military time) formats.

3.3 Setting Second Time Zone (T2)

  1. Des del mode Temps, premeu la tecla MODE button until "T2" appears on the display.
  2. Manteniu premut el botó SET botó fins que la pantalla parpellegi.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1 Chronograph Mode

The chronograph measures elapsed time up to 100 hours with lap and split times.

  1. Premeu el botó MODE button until "CHRONO" or "CHR" appears.
  2. Premeu INICI/DIVISIÓ per començar el temps.
  3. Premeu INICI/DIVISIÓ again to record a split time (display freezes, but timing continues). Press again to return to current elapsed time.
  4. Premeu STOP/RESET per aturar el cronometratge.
  5. With the chronograph stopped, press STOP/RESET de nou per restablir a zero.

4.2 Mode de temporitzador de compte enrere

The timer can be set for up to 24 hours.

  1. Premeu el botó MODE button until "TIMER" or "TMR" appears.

  7. An audible alert will sound when the timer reaches zero.

4.3 Mode d'alarma

El rellotge inclou tres alarmes diàries, entre setmana o cap de setmana amb una funció de repetició de l'alarma de 5 minuts.

  1. Premeu el botó MODE button until "ALARM" or "ALM" appears. Cycle through AL1, AL2, AL3 using MODE.

  3. Ús INICI/DIVISIÓ i STOP/RESET to set the desired alarm hour and minute.
  4. Premeu MODE to select alarm frequency (DAILY, WEEKDAY, WEEKEND).

  6. Per activar/desactivar una alarma, seleccioneu l'alarma (AL1, AL2 o AL3) i premeu INICI/DIVISIÓ. An alarm icon will appear when active.
  7. When an alarm sounds, press any button to silence it. If no button is pressed, the snooze function will activate after 5 minutes.

4.4 Llum nocturna Indiglo

Premeu el botó INDIGLO botó per il·luminar l'esfera del rellotge per facilitar-ne la viewen condicions de poca llum. La llum romandrà encesa durant uns segons.

5. Manteniment

5.1 Substitució de la bateria

The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). When the display dims or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. Timex recommends having the battery replaced by a qualified jeweler or watch service center to ensure water resistance is maintained.

Nota: Opening the watch case yourself may compromise its water resistance and void the warranty.

5.2 Neteja i cura

  • The nylon strap can be hand-washed with mild soap and water, then air-dried.

5.3 Resistència a l'aigua

This watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 ft). This means it is suitable for snorkeling, as well as swimming, but not for scuba diving. Do not operate buttons underwater to maintain water resistance integrity.
