2. Sand Filling: Remove the multi-port valve from the top of the tank. Insert the sand shield (if provided) into the tank opening. Carefully pour the recommended amount of filter sand (typically 55 lbs of #20 silica sand) into the tank. Remove the sand shield and clean any sand from the tank opening.

4.1. 6-Function Control Valve

The multi-port valve allows you to select different modes of operation:

• Filtre: Normal filtering mode. Water passes through the sand bed, trapping debris.
• Rentat a contracor: Reverses water flow to clean the sand bed. This expels trapped debris out through the waste port.
• Esbandida: Used after backwashing to settle the sand bed and flush any remaining dirty water to waste.
• Recirculate: Bypasses the filter bed to circulate water without filtering. Useful for mixing chemicals.
• Desguàs: Drains water directly from the pool through the waste port, bypassing the filter.
• Tancat: Shuts off all flow to the filter and pool. Use this setting when performing maintenance on the pump or pool.
