5. Configuració

5.1. Instal·lació de la bateria

The Fluke 106 requires two AAA batteries. These are typically included and may be pre-installed. If not, or if replacement is needed:

1. Assegureu-vos que el multímetre estigui APAGAT.
2. Localitzeu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria a la part posterior del multímetre.
3. Feu servir un tornavís per treure el cargol que fixa la tapa.
4. Carefully remove the old batteries (if any) and insert two new AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).

5.2. Connexió dels cables de prova

Connecteu sempre els cables de prova correctament per obtenir mesures precises i segures.

1. Introduïu el cable de prova negre al COM (common) terminal.
2. Per al voltage, resistance, continuity, and capacitance measurements, insert the red test lead into the VΩ terminal.
3. For current measurements (up to 10A), insert the red test lead into the 10A FUSIBLE terminal.

6. Instruccions de funcionament

Before taking any measurement, ensure the test leads are correctly connected and the rotary switch is set to the desired function.

6.1. Mesura de vol AC/DCtage (V~ / V-)

1. Configureu el commutador rotatiu a V~ per a AC voltage o V- per a DC voltage.
2. Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal.
3. Toqueu les sondes de prova als punts on voleu mesurar el volumtage. The reading will appear on the display.

6.2. Mesura de la resistència (Ω)

1. Configureu el commutador rotatiu a Ω.
2. Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal.
3. Assegureu-vos que el circuit o component estigui desenergitzat abans de mesurar la resistència.
4. Touch the test probes across the component or circuit. The resistance value will be displayed.

6.3. Prova de continuïtat ())))

1. Poseu el commutador rotatiu a la Ω position. The multimeter will automatically detect continuity.
2. Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal.
3. Assegureu-vos que el circuit o component estigui desenergitzat.
4. Touch the test probes across the points to be tested. If continuity exists (low resistance), the multimeter will emit an audible beep.

6.4. Measuring Capacitance (--| |--)

1. Poseu el commutador rotatiu a la --| |-- posició.
2. Connect the black test lead to the COM terminal and the red test lead to the VΩ terminal.
3. Ensure the capacitor is discharged before testing.
4. Touch the test probes across the capacitor terminals. The capacitance value will be displayed.

6.5. Measuring AC/DC Current (A~ / A-)

1. IMPORTANT: For current measurements, the multimeter must be connected in series with the circuit.

4. Open the circuit where you want to measure current and insert the multimeter in series.

6.6. Retenció de dades

Premeu el botó MANTENIM button to freeze the current reading on the display. This is useful for taking readings in hard-to-see locations. Press the MANTENIM de nou per alliberar la lectura i tornar a la mesura en directe.

7.1. Neteja

When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries as described in Section 5.1. Using the multimeter with low batteries may result in inaccurate readings.

• Overload Indication (OL): The measured value exceeds the selected range. Switch to a higher range if available, or verify the circuit is within the multimeter's capabilities.
