The Blaupunkt GTB 8200A is an active subwoofer system designed to enhance the bass response in your vehicle's audio system. It features a 200 mm (8-inch) spun paper cone speaker, an integrated Class-D amplifier, and various controls for sound customization.

5.1 Col·locació
- Choose a secure location in your vehicle, such as the trunk or under a seat, where the subwoofer will not obstruct movement or be damaged.
- Assegureu-vos que hi hagi una ventilació adequada al voltant de la unitat.
- Mount the subwoofer securely to prevent it from shifting during vehicle operation.
5.2 Connexions de cablejat
Refer to Figure 4.2 for the control panel layout when making connections.
- Power Connection (BAT): Connect the +12V terminal (BAT) to the positive terminal of your vehicle's battery using a suitable gauge power cable. Install an in-line fuse (7.5A, as indicated on the unit) as close to the battery as possible.
- Connexió a terra (GND): Connect the GND terminal to a clean, unpainted metal surface on the vehicle chassis. Ensure a good electrical contact.
- Engegada remota (REM): Connect the REM terminal to the remote output of your car stereo. This will turn the subwoofer on and off with your stereo. If your stereo does not have a remote output, the automatic on/off function can be used via high-level or RCA input.

- Entrada RCA: If your car stereo has RCA pre-outs, connect them to the 'LINE IN RCA' inputs on the subwoofer.

6. Instruccions de funcionament
Once installed, adjust the subwoofer settings for optimal sound performance.
6.1 Controls
- GUANY (Sensibilitat d'entrada): This knob adjusts the input sensitivity of the amplifier. Start with the gain at minimum and slowly increase it until the desired bass level is achieved without distortion.
- X-OVER (Low Pass Filter): This control adjusts the upper frequency limit of the subwoofer. Frequencies above the set point will be filtered out. Adjust this between 70 Hz and 190 Hz to blend the subwoofer's output seamlessly with your main speakers. A common starting point is around 80-100 Hz.
- PHASE (Phase Control): This switch (0°/180°) helps to align the subwoofer's output with the main speakers. Experiment with both settings to find the one that provides the most impactful and coherent bass response.
6.2 Funció d'encesa/apagada automàtica
The GTB 8200A features an automatic turn-on circuit. When using high-level inputs or RCA inputs without a remote turn-on wire, the subwoofer will detect an audio signal and power on automatically. It will power off after a period of no audio signal.
7. Manteniment
- Neteja: Feu servir un drap suau i sec per netejar l'exterior del subwoofer. No utilitzeu productes químics agressius ni netejadors abrasius.
- Substitució de fusibles: If the subwoofer does not power on, check the 7.5A fuse located on the control panel. Replace it only with a fuse of the same type and rating.
- Comprovacions periòdiques: Comproveu periòdicament totes les connexions del cablejat per comprovar si estan ben ajustades i si hi ha signes de desgast.
