Configuració i instal·lació

The ABUS FTS3002 is specifically designed for windows and balcony doors that open outwards. Proper installation is critical for the lock's effectiveness.

Comprovacions prèvies a la instal·lació:

• Ensure your window or door opens outwards.
• Verify that the window frame and the opposing sash (where the bolt will engage) are wide and thick enough to accommodate the lock unit and the bolt. The area for the bolt requires sufficient depth for a 16mm drill hole.

Passos d'instal·lació:

1. Col·loca el pany: Determine the optimal position for the lock unit on the window frame. It should be placed where the bolt can securely engage with the opposing sash when the window is closed.
2. Marca els punts de perforació: Using the lock unit as a template, mark the positions for the mounting screws on the window frame. Also, mark the exact center point on the opposing sash where the bolt will extend.
3. Forats:
   • Drill pilot holes for the mounting screws on the window frame.
   • Drill a 16mm diameter hole at the marked center point on the opposing sash to accommodate the lock bolt. Ensure the depth is sufficient for the bolt to fully engage.
4. Mount the Lock Unit: Align the ABUS FTS3002 lock unit with the pilot holes on the window frame and secure it firmly using the provided mounting screws.
5. Prova de funcionament: Close the window and ensure the lock bolt extends into the drilled hole in the sash. Use the key to unlock and open the window, then close it again to confirm automatic locking.

Instruccions de funcionament

• Bloqueig: To lock the window, simply close it. The bolt of the FTS3002 will automatically extend and engage with the drilled hole in the window sash, securing the window.
• Desbloqueig: To unlock the window, insert the key into the keyhole and turn it. This will retract the bolt, allowing the window to be opened.
• Clau igual: If you have multiple ABUS keyed-alike products (AL0125 series), the same key can be used for all of them.

Manteniment

• Inspecció: Regularly inspect the lock and its mounting screws for any looseness or signs of wear. Tighten screws if necessary.

Resolució de problemes

• Lock not engaging:
  • Ensure the window is fully closed and aligned correctly.
  • Check if the bolt hole in the sash is clear of obstructions.
  • Verify that the lock unit is securely mounted and not loose.
• Difficulty unlocking with key:
  • Ensure the key is fully inserted and is the correct key for the lock (AL0125).
  • Apply a small amount of lock lubricant to the keyhole.
  • Check for any debris in the keyhole.
• Loose lock unit:
