Instruccions de configuració i funcionament

Follow these steps for proper setup and operation of your ratcheting tie-downs:

1. Preparing the Tie-Down

  1. Open the Ratchet: Squeeze the release lever on the ratchet handle and open the handle fully until it lies flat. This will unlock the spindle.
  2. Thread the Strap: Take the free end of the long strap (the end without a hook) and thread it through the slot in the rotating spindle of the ratchet mechanism.
  3. Pull Through Slack: Pull the strap through the spindle until most of the slack is removed and the strap is snug around the load. Ensure there are at least 6 inches (15 cm) of strap threaded through the spindle for secure tensioning.

2. Assegurar la càrrega

  1. Enganxeu ganxos: Securely attach the hook of the short strap (attached to the ratchet) to an anchor point on your vehicle or trailer. Attach the hook of the long strap to an anchor point on the opposite side, or to the load itself, ensuring the strap passes over or around the load.
  2. Tension the Strap: With the handle still open, begin to pump the handle up and down. The ratchet mechanism will wind the strap onto the spindle, increasing tension. Continue ratcheting until the strap is taut and the load is securely held. Do not over-tighten.
  3. Lock the Ratchet: Once the desired tension is achieved, close the ratchet handle completely. It should click into a locked position, preventing the strap from loosening.
  4. Secure Excess Strap: Tie off or secure any excess strap length to prevent it from flapping in the wind during transit, which can cause damage or distraction.

3. Releuasing the Tie-Down

  1. Open Ratchet Fully: Squeeze the release lever on the ratchet handle and open the handle fully, pressing it down until it lies flat against the other side of the mechanism. This will release the tension and allow the strap to unwind.
  2. Remove Strap: Pull the strap free from the spindle and unhook both ends from their anchor points.

Manteniment

Proper maintenance extends the life of your tie-downs and ensures continued safe operation.
