1. Introducció

The CyberPower CPS1000E is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) designed to provide reliable emergency power for your critical electronic devices. • When connecting external batteries, ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) to prevent damage to the unit and potential hazards.
• In case of fire, use a dry chemical powder extinguisher. Liquid extinguishers may cause electrical shock.

4.1 Tauler frontal

The front panel of the CyberPower CPS1000E features the main display and control buttons.

4.2 Panell posterior

• AC Output Sockets (Max 10A): Connect your devices here to receive power from the UPS.
• AC Input (Max 10A): Connect the UPS to the main utility power using the provided AC power cord.
• Battery Input 12V: Terminals for connecting external 12V batteries. Ensure correct polarity.
• Battery Wiring Fault Indicator: Lights up if there is an issue with the external battery wiring.
• BAT. SW (Battery Switch): Controls the connection of the internal/external batteries to the UPS inverter.
• Bypass Switch (Disable/Enable): Allows the UPS to operate in bypass mode, supplying utility power directly to connected devices without battery backup.
• Push To Reset (250V 10A): Circuit breakers for AC output and AC input, used to reset in case of overload.

5. Configuració i instal·lació

5.1 Col·locació

• Place the UPS on a flat, stable surface in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated indoor area.
• Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit for proper airflow.
• Avoid placing the UPS near water, excessive humidity, or direct sunlight.

5.2 Connecting External Batteries

The CPS1000E is designed to work with conventional external 12V batteries for extended runtime.

1. Ensure the UPS is turned OFF and disconnected from AC power.
2. Connect the positive (+) terminal of your external 12V battery to the positive (+) battery input terminal on the rear panel of the UPS.
3. Connect the negative (-) terminal of your external 12V battery to the negative (-) battery input terminal on the rear panel of the UPS.
4. Double-check all connections for correct polarity. Incorrect wiring can damage the unit and pose a safety risk.

5.3 Connexió a l'alimentació de CA

1. Plug the provided AC power cord into the AC Input socket on the rear panel of the UPS.
2. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a grounded wall outlet.
3. The UPS will begin charging the connected batteries (internal and external).

5.4 Connecting Devices to the UPS

1. Plug your electronic devices (e.g., computers, network equipment) into the AC Output Sockets on the rear panel of the UPS.
2. Do not overload the UPS. The total power consumption of connected devices should not exceed 700W or 1000VA.

6. Instruccions de funcionament

6.1 Encendre/apagar el SAI

• Encendre: Press and hold the Power Button on the front panel for approximately 2 seconds until the display illuminates.
• Apagar: Press and hold the Power Button for approximately 2 seconds until the display turns off.

6.2 Comprensió de la pantalla digital

The digital display provides critical operational information. Press the Display Button to cycle through different parameters.

• CÀRREGA: Indicates the current load percentage on the UPS.
• BATT. CAP.: Mostra la capacitat restant de la bateria.
• ENTRADA: Displays the incoming utility voltage.
• SORTIDA: Mostra el volum de sortidatage provided by the UPS.
• RUN_TIME: Estimates the remaining runtime on battery power.
• Indicadors: Icons for utility power, battery mode, bypass mode, fault conditions, etc.

6.3 Bypass Function

The Bypass switch on the rear panel allows you to enable or disable bypass mode.

• Enable Bypass: When enabled, the UPS supplies utility power directly to connected devices, bypassing the inverter and battery. This is useful for maintenance or when battery backup is not required.
• Disable Bypass: When disabled, the UPS operates in normal mode, providing conditioned power and battery backup.

6.4 Battery Switch (BAT. SW)

This switch controls the connection of the batteries to the UPS inverter.

• ACTIVITAT: Connects the batteries, allowing the UPS to provide battery backup during power outages.
• DESACTIVAT: Disconnects the batteries. The UPS will not provide battery backup, but may still provide surge protection and line conditioning if AC input is present.

7. Manteniment

7.1 Cura i substitució de la bateria

• Càrrega: Keep the UPS connected to AC power to ensure batteries remain fully charged.
• Substitució: Batteries typically last 3-5 years. If the UPS consistently provides short runtimes or indicates a battery fault, consider replacing the external batteries. Only use batteries of the same type and rating.
• Eliminació: Eliminar les piles velles correctament d'acord amb la normativa local.

7.2 Neteja

• Ensure the UPS is turned OFF and disconnected from all power sources before cleaning.
• Utilitzeu un drap suau i sec per netejar l'exterior de la unitat.
• No utilitzeu netejadors líquids o aerosols.
• Periodically clean the ventilation openings to prevent dust buildup.

7.3 Emmagatzematge

• If storing the UPS for an extended period, turn it off and disconnect it from AC power and external batteries.
• Emmagatzemar en un lloc fresc i sec.
• Recharge the batteries every three months to prevent battery degradation.
