2. Informació de seguretat

Always read and understand the complete instruction manual before installing or using the car seat. Failure to follow all instructions can result in serious injury or death. Ensure the car seat is properly installed and secured in the vehicle before every use. Never leave a child unattended in the car seat.

• Always use the car seat in a rear-facing position for infants.
• Verify proper recline angle using the RideRight bubble level-indicators.
• Ensure the LATCH connectors or vehicle seat belt are securely tightened, with no more than 1 inch of movement at the belt path.
• Adjust the 5-point harness snugly against your child's body, ensuring the chest clip is at armpit level.
• Do not use the car seat if it has been involved in a moderate to severe crash, even if there is no visible damage.
• Register your car seat with Chicco to receive important safety updates and recall information.

3.1. Preparing the Base

Before installation, ensure the LATCH connectors and straps are stowed in their designated pockets if you are using the vehicle belt installation method. Pull the LATCH straps to confirm they are securely stored.

3.2. Adjusting Recline Angle

Position the base in a rear-facing vehicle seat. Adjust the base angle by pushing both recline buttons and adjusting the recline foot until the bubble in the RideRight level-indicator is between the two arrows.

3.3. LATCH Installation (Recommended)

Attach the LATCH connectors to your vehicle's lower anchors. Pull the SuperCinch tightener strap firmly to remove slack from the LATCH strap. Ensure the base does not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.

3.4. Vehicle Belt Installation

Route the vehicle lap and shoulder belt through the designated belt path openings on the base. Buckle the belt. Press firmly on the base while tightening the vehicle belt until secure. Ensure the base does not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path. Do not put the shoulder belt in locked mode during initial tightening. Once tight, you may optionally put the shoulder belt in locked mode.

3.5. Attaching the Carrier to the Base

Align the infant carrier with the installed base and lower it until it clicks securely into place. Always lift on the carrier handle to ensure it is properly attached to the base. Recheck the base level after attaching the carrier.

Place your infant in the car seat. Fasten the 5-point harness, ensuring the chest clip is at armpit level. Use the one-pull tightening strap to snug the harness straps against your child's body. The harness should be snug enough that you cannot pinch any excess webbing a la clavícula del nen.

The canopy can be adjusted forward or backward to provide shade for your child. It is also removable for cleaning or if not needed.

4.3. Removing the Carrier from the Base

To remove the infant carrier from the base, locate the release handle at the back of the carrier. Squeeze the handle and lift the carrier straight up from the base.

5.1. Cleaning the Fabric

The car seat fabric can be easily removed for cleaning. Machine wash the fabric in cold water on a delicate cycle with mild detergent. Do not use bleach. Air dry the fabric or tumble dry on low heat. Ensure the fabric is completely dry before reattaching.

5.2. Cleaning the Harness and Buckle

• Store the car seat in a cool, dry place when not in use.

6. Solució De Problemes

6.1. Car Seat Feels Loose After Installation

• Ensure the LATCH strap or vehicle belt is pulled as tightly as possible. For LATCH, use the SuperCinch tightener. For vehicle belt, press down firmly on the base while tightening.
• Verify that the RideRight bubble level-indicator shows the correct recline angle.
• Check that no part of the vehicle seat belt is twisted or interfering with the belt path.

6.2. Harness Straps Are Difficult to Tighten/Loosen

• Ensure the harness straps are not twisted.
• Press the harness release button fully before attempting to loosen the straps.
• Pull the one-pull tightening strap straight out from the car seat.

6.3. Infant Appears Uncomfortable

• Ensure the infant head and body support is correctly positioned for smaller infants (4-11 lbs). Remove it when the child outgrows it.
• Check that the harness straps are at or below the child's shoulders for rear-facing.
• Verify the harness is snug but not too tight, allowing for comfortable movement.
