- Ensure your tow vehicle and trailer are within the hitch's weight ratings: 1,400 lb maximum tongue weight and 14,000 lb maximum Gross Trailer Weight Rating (GTWR).
- Regularly inspect all hitch components, bolts, and connections for wear, damage, or looseness before each trip.
- Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended towing capacity for your tow vehicle or trailer.
- Ensure all pins and clips are securely in place before towing.
- Adjust sway control settings appropriately for road conditions. Disengage sway control in icy or slippery conditions.

4. Configuració i instal·lació
The installation process involves mounting the hitch head to your tow vehicle's receiver, attaching the spring bars, and adjusting the weight distribution and sway control. A torque wrench is recommended for proper tightening of all fasteners.
- Mount the Hitch Head: Secure the hitch head assembly into your tow vehicle's receiver. Ensure the 2-5/16" hitch ball is properly installed and torqued to specifications.
- Attach Spring Bars: The ReCurve R6 features top-loading spring bars for easy installation and increased ground clearance. Insert the spring bars into the hitch head and secure them with the provided pins.
- Install Sway Control Brackets: Mount the sway control brackets to the trailer frame. These brackets will connect to the ends of the spring bars.
- Initial Weight Distribution Adjustment: With the trailer hitched and level, adjust the height of the hitch head and the tension on the spring bars to achieve proper weight distribution. This involves measuring the fender heights of your tow vehicle before and after hitching, aiming to return them to near their original unhitched height. Adjustments are typically made by turning a thumb screw on the hitch head while the hitch is not under load.
- Sway Control Engagement: The ReCurve R6 has independent ON/OFF switches for sway control on both sides of the unit. Ensure both switches are engaged (ON) for normal towing conditions.

5. Instruccions de funcionament
The ReCurve R6 is designed for dynamic performance and ease of use during towing.
- Adaptive Sway Control: The patented sway control system automatically adjusts to changing road conditions. It is designed to disengage past 7° during tight turns, allowing for smooth maneuvering without needing manual intervention.
- Sway Control Disengagement: For added safety in icy or slippery road conditions, the sway control feature can be manually turned off using the ON/OFF switches on both sides of the hitch head. Remember to re-engage for normal towing.
- Hitching and Unhitching: The design allows for easier hitching and unhitching compared to traditional systems. The hitch and trailer rotate together around the hitch ball, reducing noise and wear.
- Backing Up: Unlike some older anti-sway systems, the ReCurve R6 generally does not require the sway control to be disengaged when backing up, simplifying maneuvers.
