Belt Replacement (Setup & Installation)
Follow these steps to replace the drive belt on your Eureka AS-2000 Series upright vacuum cleaner.
- Prepara el buit: Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet. Lay the vacuum cleaner flat on its front side, exposing the underside of the brush roll housing.
- Remove the Bottom Plate: Locate the screws holding the bottom plate (also known as the sole plate or brush roll cover) in place. Use a screwdriver to remove these screws and carefully lift off the bottom plate. Set the screws and plate aside in a safe place.
- Remove the Brush Roll: Gently lift the brush roll out of its housing. The old belt will likely be wrapped around the brush roll or the motor shaft.

- Reinstall the Brush Roll: Place the brush roll back into its housing, ensuring that the ends of the brush roll fit correctly into their designated slots. Rotate the brush roll manually a few times to confirm the belt is properly seated and moves freely.
- Reattach the Bottom Plate: Position the bottom plate back onto the vacuum cleaner, aligning it with the screw holes. Secure it with the screws removed in Step 2. Do not overtighten the screws.
- Test the Vacuum: Stand the vacuum upright, plug it into a power outlet, and turn it on briefly to ensure the brush roll spins correctly and the new belt is functioning as expected.

- Brush Roll Spin: With the vacuum upright and plugged in, turn it on. Observe the brush roll. It should spin freely and consistently.
