Preparing for First Brew

Initial Cleaning Cycle
Before brewing coffee for consumption, run a full cycle with only water to clean the internal components.

- Ensure the thermal carafe is properly placed on the base.
- Use the single dial to select the number of cups you wish to brew. The display will show the selected amount.
- Press the dial to start the brewing process. The coffee maker will preheat water to the optimal temperature (194-205°F) before brewing begins.

The Rainmaker shower head ensures even dispersion of water over coffee grounds for consistent saturation and rich flavor.

You can temporarily remove the carafe during the brewing cycle to pour a cup of coffee. The drip-stop mechanism will prevent coffee from dripping onto the heating plate. Return the carafe to its position within 20 seconds to prevent overflow.

Setting the Wake-Up Timer
The OXO Brew Coffee Maker features a programmable wake-up timer, allowing you to set a specific time for brewing to begin automatically.
- With the coffee maker plugged in, turn the dial to enter the time setting mode.
- Rotate the dial to adjust the hour and minute, then press to confirm.
- Once the current time is set, you can set the auto-brew time. Refer to the display for prompts.
- Ensure water and coffee grounds are loaded before the set auto-brew time.
The single dial allows for easy programming of brew settings and the wake-up timer.
