1. Introducció

  • Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full. When cooking foods that expand during cooking, such as rice or dried vegetables, do not fill the unit over 1/2 full. Overfilling may cause a risk of clogging the vent pipe and developing excess pressure. See "Filling the Cooker" section.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1. Omplir l'olla

  1. Add ingredients and liquid to the pot.
  2. Do not fill the cooker more than 2/3 full with food and liquid. For foods that expand (e.g., rice, beans), do not fill more than 1/2 full.
  3. Ensure there is always a minimum amount of liquid (e.g., 1 cup) as specified in your recipe or the cooker's guidelines to generate steam.

  1. Place the lid on the pot, aligning the arrows or indicators on the lid and pot handles.
  2. Engage the patented opening system to securely lock the lid. Ensure the lid is fully closed and sealed with minimal effort.
  3. Verify that the pressure regulator valve is correctly positioned according to your desired pressure level (60 kPa or 100 kPa).

  4. The Magefesa Qualix offers two working pressure levels: 60 kPa (low pressure) and 100 kPa (high pressure), allowing for versatile cooking.

5.4. Releuasing Pressure and Opening

Once cooking is complete, there are two primary methods for releasinpressió g:

  • Alliberament natural: Remove the cooker from the heat source and allow it to cool down naturally. The pressure indicator will drop on its own. This method is ideal for foods that benefit from a longer cooking time or that might foam.
  • Llançament ràpid: For faster pressure release, carefully move the pressure regulator valve to the steam release position (if available on your model) or place the cooker under cold running water (avoiding the lid mechanisms) until the pressure indicator drops. Use extreme caution to avoid steam burns.

Important: Never attempt to open the lid until the pressure indicator has fully dropped and no steam is escaping. Forcing the lid open while under pressure can cause severe injury.

6. Manteniment i Neteja

6.1. Neteja diària

  1. After each use, allow the cooker to cool completely.
  2. Wash the pot body and lid with warm soapy water. For stubborn food residues, soak the pot before cleaning.
  3. Remove the sealing ring from the lid and wash it separately. Ensure it is clean and flexible.
  4. Clean the pressure regulator valve and safety valve openings to ensure they are free from food particles. Use a small brush if necessary.
  5. Rinse all parts thoroughly and dry completely before storage.
