2. Informació de seguretat
Always observe safety precautions when using any electrical testing equipment. This device complies with international safety standard IEC/EN 61010-1 600V CAT III.

- To prevent fire, install fuses with the correct amp/volt ratings: F 250mA/250V and F 10A/250V.
- Do not operate the meter if the battery indicator shows low battery.

4. Configuració
4.1 Instal·lació de la bateria
The Tekpower TP8233B is powered by a single 9V battery. Follow these steps to install or replace the battery:
- Ensure the multimeter is turned OFF and disconnect all test leads from the input jacks and any circuits.
- Localitzeu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria a la part posterior del multímetre (vegeu la figura 2).
- Feu servir un tornavís per afluixar el cargol que fixa la tapa de la bateria.
- Traieu la coberta.
- Connect the 9V battery to the battery clip, observing correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
- Col·loqueu la bateria al compartiment.
- Substituïu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria i fixeu-la amb el cargol.
4.2 Connexió dels cables de prova
The multimeter uses two test leads, typically red for positive (+) and black for common (-). Connect them as follows:
- Inseriu el cable de prova negre a la presa d'entrada "COM" (comú).
- Per a la majoria de mesures (Voltage, Resistance, Diode, Continuity, and low DC Current), insert the red test lead into the "VΩmA" input jack.
- For high DC Current measurements (up to 10A), insert the red test lead into the "10A" input jack. Ensure the rotary switch is set to the appropriate 10A range.

5. Instruccions de funcionament
To begin using your multimeter, turn the rotary switch from the "OFF" position to the desired measurement function and range.
5.1 DC Voltage Mesurament (DCV)
- Set the rotary switch to the desired DCV range (200m, 2V, 20V, 200V, 600V). If the voltage is unknown, start with the highest range (600V) and decrease as necessary.
- Connecteu el cable de prova vermell al costat positiu (+) del circuit i el cable de prova negre al costat negatiu (-).
- Llegeix el voltage value on the LCD display. The polarity will be indicated.
5.2 AC Voltage Mesurament (ACV)
- Set the rotary switch to the desired ACV range (200V, 600V).
- Connecteu els cables de prova a través del voltatge de CAtage font.
- Llegeix el voltage valor a la pantalla LCD.
5.3 DC Current Measurement (DCA)
- Important: To measure current, the multimeter must be connected in series with the circuit.
- Set the rotary switch to the desired DCA range (200µA, 2mA, 20mA, 200mA, 10A).
- For ranges up to 200mA, connect the red test lead to the "VΩmA" jack. For the 10A range, connect the red test lead to the "10A" jack.
- Open the circuit where current is to be measured and insert the multimeter in series.

5.4 Mesura de resistència (Ω)
- Important: Assegureu-vos que el circuit o component estigui desenergitzat abans de mesurar la resistència.
- Set the rotary switch to the desired Resistance range (200Ω, 2kΩ, 20kΩ, 200kΩ, 2MΩ).
- Connecteu els cables de prova al component que s'ha de mesurar.
- Llegiu el valor de la resistència a la pantalla LCD.
5.5 Diode Check
- Set the rotary switch to the Diode symbol (→|•).
- Connecteu el cable de prova vermell a l'ànode i el cable de prova negre al càtode del díode.
- La pantalla mostrarà el volum d'avançtage drop (typically 0.5V to 0.8V for silicon diodes). Reversing the leads should show "OL" (Over Load) for a good diode.
5.6 Prova de continuïtat
- Set the rotary switch to the Continuity symbol (•)))).
- Connect the test leads across the circuit or component to be tested.
- If there is continuity (low resistance), the multimeter will emit an audible beep and display a low resistance value. If there is no continuity, it will display "OL".
5.7 Funció de retenció de dades
- Press the "HOLD" button to freeze the current reading on the LCD display.
- Press the "HOLD" button again to release the reading and return to live measurement.
5.8 Funció de retroiluminació
- Press the backlight button (indicated by a sun/star symbol) to illuminate the LCD display for better visibility in low-light conditions.

6. Manteniment
6.1 Substitució de la bateria
When the battery low indication appears on the display, replace the 9V battery as described in Section 4.1. Prompt battery replacement ensures accurate readings and proper device function.
6.2 Canvi de fusibles
The multimeter is protected by two fuses. If the current measurement function fails, one of the fuses may need replacement. Always replace fuses with the specified ratings to maintain safety and functionality:
- F1: 250mA / 250V (for mA ranges)
- F2: 10A / 250V (for 10A range)
To replace a fuse, follow the battery replacement steps to open the back cover. The fuses are located inside the meter. Carefully remove the old fuse and insert a new one of the correct rating. Secure the cover before use.
6.3 Neteja
Per netejar el multímetre, netegeu la carcassa amb aiguaamp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Ensure the device is completely dry before use or storage.
