Configuració i instal·lació

The photoelectric cell is a critical component for flame detection. Proper installation is essential for safe and reliable operation.

1. Desconnexió d'alimentació: Before beginning any work, ensure the main power supply to the burner system is completely disconnected and locked out to prevent accidental startup.
2. Accés: Gain access to the existing photoelectric cell or the designated mounting location on the burner. This may involve removing covers or panels.
3. Removal of Old Component (if applicable): Carefully disconnect the wiring from the old photoelectric cell. Note the orientation and connection points. Gently remove the old cell from its mounting.
4. Installation of New Cell: Insert the new Riello Photoelectric Cell (3007839) into the designated mounting port. Ensure it is securely seated and oriented correctly to face the flame.
5. Connexió del cablejat: Connect the wiring harness of the new photoelectric cell to the corresponding terminals on the burner control unit. Refer to the burner's specific wiring diagram for precise connections. Ensure connections are tight and secure.
6. Muntatge segur: Verify that the photoelectric cell is firmly mounted and will not vibrate loose during operation.
7. Remuntatge: Substituïu les cobertes o els panells que s'han tret durant el procés d'instal·lació.
8. Restauració i proves d'energia: Restore power to the burner system. Perform a functional test according to the burner manufacturer's instructions to confirm the photoelectric cell is detecting flame correctly and the system is operating safely.

Principi de funcionament

The Riello Photoelectric Cell operates as a flame sensor. When the burner ignites, the cell detects the presence of visible light emitted by the flame. This detection sends a signal to the compatible analog control unit (e.g., 552SE or 553SE), confirming flame presence and allowing the burner to continue its operation cycle. If the flame is not detected within a specified timeframe during ignition, or if it extinguishes during operation, the photoelectric cell signals the control unit to initiate a safety lockout, preventing unburned fuel accumulation and ensuring safety.

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and reliable operation of the photoelectric cell.

• Inspecció: Periodically inspect the photoelectric cell and its wiring for any signs of physical damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
• Neteja: Si el viewing window of the photoelectric cell becomes dirty or obscured by soot, carefully clean it with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the burner is off and cooled before cleaning.
• Substitució: The photoelectric cell is a wear-and-tear component. If it consistently fails to detect flame or causes nuisance lockouts despite proper cleaning and troubleshooting, it may need replacement.
