Follow these steps to set up your Pioneer DJ PLX-500 turntable for optimal performance.

The PLX-500 features a built-in phono equalizer (preamplifier) and line output, allowing direct connection to powered speakers or an amplifier without a dedicated phono input.

• Connexió directa als altaveus: Connect the RCA output cables from the turntable directly to the line input of your powered speakers.
• Connection to Mixer/Ampmés viu: If using a DJ mixer or an amplifier with a phono input, ensure the PHONO/LINE switch on the rear of the turntable is set correctly. Use the PHONO setting for phono inputs and LINE for line inputs.

VoltagSelector: The unit features a voltage input selector switch located under the platter. Ensure this switch is set to the correct voltage (110V or 220V) for your region before connecting to power. The unit is typically defaulted to 110V for North American sales.

1. Playing Records

Place a record on the platter. Select the appropriate speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) using the speed selector buttons. Press the START/STOP button to begin platter rotation. Gently lower the tonearm onto the record using the cueing lever. (Refer to the video for visual demonstration of platter rotation and tonearm operation).

2. Pitch Adjustment

Use the tempo slider to adjust the playback speed. The PLX-500 offers a +/- 8% pitch adjustment range. (See the video for a demonstration of pitch control).

3. Digitizing Your Record Collection

The PLX-500 includes a USB output, allowing you to easily digitize your vinyl collection. Connect the turntable to your computer via the USB port and use compatible recording software, such as rekordbox, to capture your audio. Rekordbox software can be downloaded for free from rekordbox.com. This software allows you to record your vinyl and manage your music library.
