5.2. After Canning
- Once the cycle is complete, carefully unlock and open the lid, directing steam away from your face.
- Using the jar lifter, carefully remove the hot jars and place them on a towel-lined surface, allowing space between jars for air circulation.
- Allow jars to cool undisturbed for 12-24 hours. Do not tighten bands or check seals until jars are completely cool.
