4. Configuració

4.1 Desembalatge i inspecció

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the chainsaw for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all parts listed in the manual are present.

4.2 Guide Bar and Chain Assembly

1. Place the guide bar onto the guide bar studs.
2. Carefully loop the saw chain around the drive sprocket and into the guide bar groove. Ensure the cutting edges of the chain are facing the correct direction (refer to the arrow on the guide bar).
3. Install the clutch cover and tighten the nuts finger-tight.
4. Adjust chain tension using the tensioning screw. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled freely by hand.
5. Once tension is set, fully tighten the clutch cover nuts.

4.3 Combustible i oli de cadena

The McCulloch CS 50S uses a two-stroke engine that requires a mixture of unleaded gasoline and two-stroke engine oil. Always use high-quality two-stroke oil specifically designed for air-cooled engines.

3. Carefully open the caps and fill the fuel tank with the prepared fuel mixture and the chain oil tank with chain lubricant.
4. Do not overfill. Leave a small air gap.
5. Securely close both caps.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Arrencada del motor

Inici fred:

1. Enganxeu el fre de cadena.
2. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible in the bulb.
3. Set the combined Start/Stop switch to the choke position.
4. Pull the starter cord slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and firmly until the engine fires (usually a few pulls).
5. Once the engine fires, immediately push the Start/Stop switch to the half-throttle position.

7. Disengage the chain brake and allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before beginning work.

5.2 Tècniques de tall

Always maintain a firm grip on both handles. Ensure the chain brake is disengaged before cutting.

• Enganxament: Cutting a felled tree into logs. Always support the log to prevent pinching the guide bar.
• Limbing: Removing branches from a felled tree. Work from the base of the tree towards the top, cutting smaller branches first.
• Talla: Cutting down a standing tree. This is an advanced technique and should only be performed by experienced operators. Always plan your escape route and be aware of the tree's lean.

6. Manteniment
