3. Configuració

3.1 Instal·lació de la bateria

The PeakTech 5185 is powered by a 3.6V Lithium Battery. Ensure the battery is correctly installed before first use.

1. Carefully remove the protective cover from the device.
2. Localitzeu el compartiment de la bateria.
3. Insert the 3.6V Lithium Battery, observing the correct polarity (+/-).

3.2 Instal·lació del programari

The device requires dedicated PC software for full functionality, including configuration and data retrieval. The software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8.

1. Insert the provided software CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive, or download the latest software version from the official PeakTech weblloc.

3. Once installed, launch the "Log Datalogger" software.

3.3 Connexió del dispositiu

To connect the data logger to your computer:

1. Ensure the PC software is running.
2. Connect the external temperature/humidity sensor to the designated port on the data logger, if using.
3. Connect the USB cable to the data logger's USB port and then to an available USB port on your computer.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1 Device Configuration via PC Software

Before starting a new logging session, configure the device settings using the PC software:

1. In the software, select the connected data logger.
2. Access the "Logger Setup" or "Settings" menu.

   • Sampli Rate: How often data is recorded (e.g., every 1 minute, 5 minutes).
   • Límits d'alarma: Upper and lower thresholds for temperature and humidity.

4.2 Starting and Stopping Logging

Once configured, disconnect the data logger from the PC. The device will begin logging according to the chosen start mode. The LCD will display current readings and logging status.

To stop logging, reconnect the device to the PC and use the "Stop Datalogger" function in the software, or if configured, press the designated button on the device.

4.3 Recuperació i anàlisi de dades

After a logging session, retrieve and analyze the data:

1. Connect the data logger to your PC.
2. In the software, select the option to "Download Data" or "Read Data".
3. The software will display the recorded data in a graphical format.
4. You can then export the data to various formats, including Excel (.xls), text (.txt), or image files (.jpg, .png) for further analysis or reporting.

When the battery indicator on the LCD or software shows low battery, replace the 3.6V Lithium Battery following the steps in Section 3.1. Always use the specified battery type to ensure proper operation.

5.3 Emmagatzematge

When not in use for extended periods, store the data logger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to remove the battery if storing for several months to prevent leakage.
